Appearance

Adélaïde has long brunette hair and blue eyes. She dresses very conservatively, long skirts or dresses more often in the shade of black than any other. She wears a golden locket around her neck. If encountered outside of Court gatherings, she may be seen carrying a well concealed sword, but usually is unarmed.

Mortal World

Adélaïde does not really have a presence in the mortal world. She cut ties to all her mortal family when she became a member of the Tremere.

Personal Information - Before Embrace

Aldalheidis (Adélaïde) Ophelia Marguerite d'Rossel was born the 4th child and only daughter of Princess Elsa von Lichtenstein and Gui Henri d'Rossel. She was named to honor a maternal matriarch of the family. At the age of 4 Adélaïde mother "died" and within the year, her father died of a broken heart. Adélaïde was raised by her uncle.
As a young girl she was always inquisitive and intelligent, and her uncle indulged her questing nature. She was allowed unlimited access to the family library, and when she grew older, was educated with private tutors. As a young girl of 15, he took her along with him to public lectures by popular scholars in the fields of philosophy and science. They would also host private parties with academics of the mystical traditions of Hermeticism and Cabala.
As the age of 18, she was married in a political move amidst the Italian Wars (Habsburg-Valois War), she is married to Etienne Luc d'Angoulême the Son of the Count of Angoulême (House Valois). Etienne, pleased by the fact that his political marriage has delivered him a comely wife indulges her by allowing philosophers and mystics to continue to be entertained in their home (this is mainly to make up for his violent fits of rage) Adélaïde produces 4 children before the Tremere come to visit. Eadweard Blaecmann visits with other regulars at the Philisophy evenings hosted by Adélaïde's husband. Initially, it was becasue the Tremere had heard about their evening gatherings, and had assumed it was Etienne that had potential. Over the year, it becomes apparent that it is in fact Adélaïde that is of more interest. Eadweard is tasked with recruiting her for the Clan, but before he can do so, Adélaïde is gravely injured in a fall from a horse. The family does not remember his visit that evening, they only remember the grief of Adélaïde succumbing to her injuries.

Information Known by Kindred Society

Adélaïde has existed in Camarilla society for almost 500 years. In that time she has been seen in various European cities, and once before in Asutralia. She always cited the will of her Clan as the reason for her being in any particular city. She known to have studied philosophy, Hermeticism, alchemy and other mystic traditions. Adélaïde often arrives in a city, and then leaves it, often without forwarning. Her pattern shows that her stays are often no longer than 5-10 years at most. The only exception is Austria, where she seems to have lived as a base for most of her unlife.

Those who talk to Adélaïde will notice that she does not share information about her life before embrace. Whether she does not remember it, or she wishes it to remain a secret, until recently this part of her life had been well hidden.

On her arrival in the Canberra court in 2014, there was some onbious tension between Adélaïde and the Seneschal Elsa. later in the evening, Elsa revealed to some that Adélaïde was her mortal child.

Timeline

1522 - Embraced in Angoulême. She changes the spelling of her name to Adélaïde to mark the break with her mortal family
1529 - Released by her sire into Camarilla society, Rouen
1529-1600 - Rouen, Cologne
1600 - Vienna. Adélaïde manages to completely miss all encounters with Elsa who is actually her mortal mother. She is seen on a few occasions by Gladius, but he does nto make the connection.
1600-1642 - Europe, various. Based mainly in Vienna
1642-1713 - Eclipse
1880- 1893 Australia, NSW. Arrives in Australia under the excuse of clan business. Meets a young Victor. Adélaïde departs the country suddenly.
1966-1974 - Croatia. Adélaïde meets Heinrich Schnieder.
1980s- ?? Travels on Clan business and meets Bastion
2014- Is ordered by her Clan to relocate to Canberra, Australia. Upon arrival she discovers that the Seneschal is her mortal mother Elsa and that a Tremere Archon had just been killed by a Sabbat infiltrator.

2014

• OCT - Arrived in Canberra after the murder of the Tremere Archon. Adélaïde is questioned in private by the Seneschal Elsa who later reveals to the Tremere that Adélaïde is her mortal daughter.
• NOV - Attends the court along with the Tremere who are hosts. Actively engages the two Sabbat visitors, and kills one with a green burning sword. Is given the status of "Beloved" by the Seneschal.
• DEC - Prince Goksel returns and after hearing of the combat with the Sabbat, removed her status of "Beloved" by awards her the status "Stalwart"
• FEB 2015 - Becomes the Keeper of Elysium after the Praxis of Goksel is successfully challenged by Elsa.
• MARCH 2015 - Acts as Seneschal for the evening in lie of the absent Victor.
• SEPTEMBER 2015- Is 'Invited' to join House Hathus
• JANUARY 2016 - Is given a letter from a Tremere Elder. Tells the court she will have to leave on Clan Business
