Appearance

Standing with a slight muscular build at 187cm, caramel beige skin framed by black hair style simple short, with blue-gray eyes that show no warmth despite his charismatic attitude which much warmth in them despite his outward lower humanity appearance. Note: He is British. Usually dressed in professional and stylish attire, sometimes you'll even see him in a doctors labcoat due to his profession. A common accessory he wears is a pair of flexible yet stylish black gloves.

Personality

Alec used to feign emotions to others, but only because he didn't feel. Years of conditioning took that out of him. Currently Alec's warmth and friendliness is true, despite his outward appearance that is still unsettling. He finds it difficult to reveal himself to others, but trusts them to a fault. He is very easily used by others. If anyone knows his true nature now that his chains have been broken, it is Felix. Alec is a stubborn individual and a bit slow to certain aspects of his surrounding. He is starting afresh so he is still trying to find his way.
Seemingly warm and kind to everyone, but his outward emotions never seem to meet his eyes. Charming on the outside, true nature unknown to anyone other than his sire. He claims to want to want to make the world a better place, but will only do things he feels like doing. Sometimes he will do things that aren't asked of him, or in different ways than what was asked of him to achieve the same results. His faith does not waiver that he is following the path he was meant to.
Like a chameleon, Alec blends into his surroundings. He is usually calm unless it is necessary to act or be otherwise. Despite his habits staying true to his core personality, he acts differently towards each and every person he meets.

Habits

Alec has a tendency to act like a mother hen to others at times, cleaning up after them and making sure they do what they need to.
Relationships end up however they need to. If someone is more than a friend, then he will embrace that as much as his partner wants to. However, he doesn't like his personal space being invaded. It is common for him to keep separate accommodation from partners. If he shares his private space with others, it is only out of kindness, he does not enjoy it in the slightest despite how he may act.
Keeping up his facade around others so that they believe he is just as human as he wishes he was.

• Certain voices. Sensitive to voices and sounds, he'll sometimes excuse himself when they overwhelm him. Sometimes it is the scents, or particular words that cause a reaction from him. A possible trigger from when he was a kine, or the grooming over the years before his embrace.

• Unnecessary displays of emotion such as outbursts of anger.
• Rash and uninformed decisions.
• People being in his personal spaces, such as his room and other places he withdraws to, to be alone.
• Being restricted by others. Clingy partners can be cute to some extent, but when they prevent him from being himself and doing what he feels he needs to do, then he can only keep up his facade for so long.

Triggers

●Alec is claustrophobic. Unless he is actively doing something to distract himself, he will start to panic of he doesn't leave the small space. This also applies to tight stuffy clothes which is why he is normally fiddling with his tie. The onset of this phobia is a mixture of events during his kine years, but also the trauma since.
●Alec will react to certain words, situations, and the presence of certain people. This has something to do with how Emma died, and these things are usually tied back to her. He can either shut down and seem very sick like someone about to pass out, or lashes out. Both of these are unintentional reactions, and some of the time he is able to delay or override them.
●Felix. Alec is totally smitten on Felix, so if it seems like he is in danger, Alec will sometimes overreact. Well, maybe he overreacts in general when it comes to Felix. He's still sorting things out.

Hobbies

• Collecting knives, sometimes as tokens of travel. They seem to go missing after a while though, but there is always one he favors more than others and would do anything to prevent losing.
• Cleaning. Everything must be pristine always. If a doctor doesn't stay clean, it can mean the life of his patient.
• Reading and keeping up to date with pop culture. He sometimes assists writers and other artists online with their work and gives them an ear when needed under an alias.
• Watching stars, it was something he used to do when he was a kine with Emma. He'll withdraw to a secluded place to look at the stars when he wants to be alone.

Timeline

(This part is known only by sire and specific kindred.)

• Born in London June 17th, 1871.
• In the spring of 1887 Alec was wedded to Emma, he was 15 and she had recently turned 17. Because the two of them were under the age of 21, Alec begged her alcoholic father for months before he finally agreed. He didn't care that she had been worked for her father's brothel since her mother died, he loved her for who she was. They got a little run-down place for themselves and lived their lives out in that place until Nox decided to choose Alec as her entertainment for the challenge.
• In 1887, the day after Christmas, Alec lost the love of his life in front of his eyes. Soon after he met his sire "for the first time". This started his decent into madness and grooming to become a Malkovian. From this moment, Alec loses his ability to feel for and love others, instead replacing previous feelings with apathy and loyalty.
• The years that came after, Alec spent with Nox and Faux, being groomed and conditioned to meet their wants more than needs. Nox does not ghoul him, enjoying the company of her kine pet, but eventually embraces him.
• Embraced 1896

Travel around the world with sire, mostly consisting of Sweden, Germany and America. Trips are brief except for stay in Louisiana, returning to America and England in between visits to foreign countries.

Archived-Cyril Courtnay - An old time friend of Alec's, who has some dark secrets and habits that most do not know. Cyril is a fair bit older than Alec, but they get along due to Alec's acceptance of his dark secrets. Over the years, they became close, but did not always stay in contact due to Alec's sire taking him around to other places every now and again to prevent suspicion, but most times they stayed in contact. Cyril is one of the people who has given Alec things to add to his collection over the years.

Archived-Emma Smith - Alec's childhood friend, lover and wife from when he was kine. Alec met Emma when they were quite young, she had lost her mother, and he grew up in an orphanage run by the church. They spent their youth with each other, Alec protecting her as much as he possibly could, and eventually he managed to take her away from her father and family brothel by the terms of marriage.
She was killed during a game that Nox and Nicolaus decided to play where they tried to warp someone to embrace as much as they can before embracing them; there was no clear winner. After her death, Alec lost his ability to love and care for others.
Emma is still, and likely always will be the person Alec cares for and obsesses over most. During one of the book club gatherings, Alec met a kine that looked just like Emma. Due to the fact that they were holding a knife, albeit fake, his mind could only think of the fact as though she was encouraging her own death. With anger over that, he frenzied but was restrained, and tried to fix things with those within the library after his mistake. After the incident, despite his attempts, he has not been able to locate the kine again, and for some reason genuinely believes that she is somehow Emma. His pleas for assistance with finding her to other kindred have not turned over any results yet.

Archived-Felix Edmiston - Kindred cousins. Dating. Totally Smitten. Alec met Felix after Felix arrived in Roxby Downs during the Crone court gathering, and gained a vague interest in the Kindred after learning at that gathering that Felix was related to Isobel, and that Felix had helped Rowan when she was still adjusting to becoming a Kindred. From this, Alec gained a new light of respect and curiosity for him. After the Crone court gathering, he started approaching and talking to Felix more often. After starting to have speculations about Isobel being related to him, which was later proven, he started to perform his usual role towards that of his family towards Felix. However, something about it this time seems different. Slowly, but surely, Felix broke down Alec's walls and made him open up to him. He fell more and more in love with Felix, and is currently totally smitten over him, not that he likes to show it much.

Alec first met Khan when he first arrived in Roxby Downs, they became slightly friendly towards one another to the point where they would often tease each other. Alec tends to show this by referring to Khan by his first name alone. After the death of the previous Prince before Isobel, Alec gave him some space to mourn his loss, but they remain friends.

Archived-Kristopher Van'Galen - Known only by mention of name. Alec knows that Nox has a strong dislike for this person for some odd reason, but from the way they talk about them, he feels they have some sort of one-sided love for them that was never returned.

Archived-Lucian Cain - Adoptive grandsire. Believed actual grandsire. Alec has met this kindred a few times, but does not know why he has become one of this Kindred's favoured grandchilder. Their relationship is usually quite formal, where etiquette must be of the highest standards or else one will be "whipped into shape", so Alec learned quickly to appeal to his grandsire's tastes for presentation and discussion. Alec does not know if Lucian is still awake or not currently, and doesn't have a way to determine if he has met final death or not.

Maddy Palma - Exact relationship unknown. Alec's relationship with this kindred is quite complicated. He knew from the beginning that she was someone he needed to get close to, but ended up being pulled into a relationship because of it. Not wanting to hurt her, he just gave her what she asked for, ending up giving her an engagement ring. As he did not actually feel comfortable with the relationship, they ended up breaking up after Quadragesima. They remain friends, and he still helps her whenever she needs, her continuing to use him to ground herself when she is lost or confused. Not a lot has changed in their relationship despite the break up, she still relies on him a lot more than she should. Alec currently regards her as a friend, and someone useful.

Nox/Faux Cain - Alec's sire. Alec's relationship with this person is complicated at best. Over the years they conditioned Alec in a mundane manner until he became their toy. His role was to serve his family in whatever way they pleased and to protect them from harm however possible, even if it means risking his own life. If he meets someone of his family, he must get rid of all others who could get in the way of him serving them completely and utterly. Similarly, if he finds out they are Malkovian, he must at least try to protect them. However, Nox prefers to not share him with anyone else, despite making him the way he is. Meaning that if they return, he has to drop the majority of his commitments to others in his family to let her do as she pleases; something he would do anyway as he wishes to protect others from her wrath.
Currently, they have left a very basic alteration to Alec's memory so that he thinks his sire is Kristopher Van'Galen instead. Every time Alec questions this, or draws upon memories other than the name of his sire it breaks down a little, but until it is completely broken, he is stuck with his current memories.

Archived-Rowan Hargreaves - Alec's childe. Alec first met Rowan at the Saint Alexander Hospital in Roxby Downs, and they became close as he was the only one willing to talk to her and listen to her problems. One night, Alec got called in to the hospital where he found Rowan in critical condition after her boyfriend was abusive to her. As her condition slowly deteriorated, he prayed for a sign on what to do, and then he got one. He asked for permission from Bishop Cruz, and then of the Prince on his way. He used his blood to wake her just that little bit, knowing full well that his blood wouldn't be enough to save her, but enough to wake her and explain what it means to be a kindred and ask her to choose if she wanted to become a kindred. After she chose to become kindred, they continued to have a relationship somewhere between best friends, siblings and almost romantic interest.

Archived-Saul Rodrigues - Acquaintances. Alec likes the way this kindred thought and went about things. They had just started to get along and have conversations when Inquisitor Rodrigues met final death. Alec still thinks it is a shame that such a great person met such a terrible fate so soon.

Archived-Sebastian Kage - Kindred friend. Alec has known Kage since he first arrived in Roxby Downs. Since then, they have had a friendly, but also professional relationship due to previously being Deputy and Sheriff. Alec has tried to warn Kage about some of his foolish decisions in the past. Even so, Kage has still done many foolish things. Alec regards him as something similar to a friend, and someone that is useful.
