Information Known by Kindred Society

All members of the Nosferatu are twisted in some fashion, either in physical looks or a malignant aura. Some of them, however, are warped to such an extent that even other clanmembers find them abhorrent... a thing that Should Not Be. Algol is one such, though a few know that it was not always the case. Black, leathery hide patched with scales, protofins and dangling protuberances, a face with but smooth bone where eyes should be and an axe wound nose, the sweet scent of honeysuckle and hot blood matched with a voice known to have sent more fragile kindred into hysterics. His gnarled, clawed fingers forever writhe and stroke the air even as the blind face casts about, scenting the atmosphere for anything or anyone he might take a moments interest in, while his stretched and twisted legs make him look down upon almost all his fellow kindred. He has no accent, appears totally asexual and seems to have great difficulty in understanding more...human outlooks. His clothes are formless robes made from functional, hard wearing materials. He wears a silver Guilder. He is known to be insanely territorial. He is devoted to his family and his covenant, he speaks with the younger kindred about the many benefits of unlife in the First Estate. He is rumoured to be a berserker when roused.

Timeline

Mortal life is but a shadow of a dream. Discard it, you are born without a body and have nothing but time as your inheritance.
1710: Embraced by Batavia in Sicily.
1740: Joins the Invictus. At this time he may have met his Avus, he no longer remembers.
Torpor blurs this time for him, but he remembers siring three childer.
1839: Algol is pursuing Invictus interests in Macau when the first Opium War breaks out. Trapped by the blockades, he is soon faced with an even bigger threat; Chinese vampires attempting a hostile (and fatal) takeover of the estates in the confusion. The following two years teach him much about brutality and treachery, and leave him a colder creature then he was before. His eyesight fading, word reaches him that his sire has traveled to Australia, and after correctly handing over his duties, he seeks transportation.
1841: Leaves for Western Australia on the French Whaler Perseverant, which is wrecked on Dirt Hartog Island after falling afoul of Jacque Deloit's reaver fleets. Algol makes his displeasure known to the hapless survivors by hunting them down over several nights and gorging on their blood. This and the infrequent blood of animals is enough to sustain him until he reaches the mainland.
1842: After terrorising the local Aboriginal tribes one time too many, he is overcome in battle with a group of shamans whilst lairing in a deep cave. With his hide burnt by fire and his senses reeling from the sacred chants, Algol is swallowed by the darkness and vanishes, reappearing later, warped and strange in the colony of Perth. His meeting with the already established vampires there was acrimonious, bloody and ended with his torpor.
1845: Torpor. The warping of his blood and form is completed while he sleeps. His daymares are of crushing darkness, waterfalls into the abyss and feeding on things with too many legs. He never sees again.
1900: Awakens from the deathsleep. Bemused by his fellow Kindreds reactions to his appearance, Algol agrees to the appropriate boons owed due to his behavior and leaves Perth to it's established kindred. Slowly he makes his way to Darwin, there to begin making inroads on the fledgling transport industry through mortal catspaws and lackeys.
1914: WWI. Algol keeps his already low profile as hidden as possible in this time of unrest and suspicion. The money brought in by the transportation industry is increasing however, and careful feeding on the military personnel means his food supply is enlarged for a time.
1942: WWII. Darwin is bombed. Algol flee's with his retainers to Kalgoorlie, where he is granted shelter and feeding rights by Jacque Deloit and meets Victor White Against all odds the three strike up a friendship of sorts, united in their dislike of the rulers of Perth's overbearing ways. Sure enough, by the end of the war they have become a coterie.
1960/1970: A kindred matching his description is rumoured to have been seen in Sydney around the same time as a rash of skinned faces on stakes appeared in certain areas.

Recent History

Algol is Regent of the Dark, as Alder Victor White is Regent of the Light. Together they are the co-rulers of Port Hedland and it's surrounding towns, an area rich in vitae, money and mystery. Algol is ruler of the undercity in this area and it's surrounds. The necropolis here is closed bar the Caldarium, which is often used to entertain guests. It shows definate signs of Victor White in its structure, which is pleasing to the eye and expertly proportioned.
