Personal Information
Alvyss was chosen for Embrace early in his life, chosen for his intellect by his eventual sire, and uncle Archived-Aksel Vinter. He was given the best education available, and then went to Cambridge where he met a young Archived-Sebastian Volmark. He was a part of the boxing team, and Graduated with Honours. After Graduating, his Uncle set him some tasks, some of which were investigatory, some were more covert. He fulfilled these tasks, using his intellect and by staying hidden when he could. It was then, he was Embraced into the Family. Which is when his Sire, and Archived-Berengaria Lange gave him the job of Chronicling the entire Mortal and Kindred Line of the Valdyr. This task left him busy for the next 25 years. He then went out into the world a little. Enough to brush him up on Kindred Society. He journeyed to Australia with the rest of the Valdyr after World War 2, and had only been in the Court for 5-10 years before Zenobia humiliated him in front of the Court in the middle of a tirade about a boon she had broken. This set him in a bad mood for a while after that. When Archived-Sebastian Volmark took Praxis, he set his once friend, and now rival to be Prince's Harpy, knowing he could be trusted to Chronicle truly the events of the Court, and as insurance against the Valdyr. Alvyss hated this position, being surrounded by the Volmark at Court set him on edge, and he detested being treated like a dog. But Sebastian was a good Prince, and remained there for 30 years, until finally the tension bubbled over and Praxis was claimed by Archived-Tybalt. It was then that Alvyss was made Priscus Harpy, a position in which he is in the middle of the politics of the Priscus, but having no say in that group.
Appearance
He is a large man, always in a suit, with at least the Tome of The Valdyr, and usually his Harpy Diary.
Personality
Alvyss is a bookish kindred, pushed into a social position by the rigours of court. He will try to solve problems like they are an equation, and if it is unsolvable will still attempt to find one, albeit in his own head.
Mortal World
Alvyss is only known to the Mortal World as the owner of a Library, which has surprisingly late opening hours.
