General Information

Appearance and Personality

Angelica's appearance is that of a 16 year old girl dressed neatly in black and white conservative attire with long black hair, deathly pale skin and dark sunken eyes. She seldom smiles.

She is a very matter of fact and zealous individual, devout to the Lancea Sanctum. To those few mortals who are unfortunate enough to interact with her, she presents as the perfect monster.

Angelica takes her role as Inquisitor very seriously and does not necessarily restrict her investigations to members of the Lancea Sanctum.

She will kill if necessary but has a preference to make those in the wrong wish they were dead.

Angelica has had scarce contact with him since her embrace due to his extremely reclusive nature.

She knows he has been around for quite some time, lurking in the shadows throughout Europe.

Lineage - Distant ward of House Volmark

A connection established for her by her sire in case it was ever needed.

Background

In the spring and summer of 1919, fifteen year old Angelica DaSanto, and her cousin Gabriela were herding sheep in a mountain pasture above their home village of Santa Fiora, Italy. They claimed to have experienced the visitation of an angel on three separate occasions. The angel taught them prayers to pray, to make sacrifices, and to spend time in adoration of the Lord.

“Did you actually see something? Did Gabriela see the same thing? Don’t lie to me child.”

“I… I saw something. Heard a voice.”

While they had never spoken to anyone about the angel, Gabriela divulged her sightings to her family despite Angelica's admonition to keep this experience private. Her disbelieving mother told neighbors as a joke, and within a day the whole village knew.

When put to the question the girls claimed that the Virgin Mary had promised a miracle for the last of her apparitions on October 13th, so that all would believe. A huge crowd, variously estimated between 6,000 and 10,000 gathered on the slopes above Santa Fiora.

Spectators spent most of the day on the slopes before dispersing when night fell without any apparition being seen. The authorities and families of the girls began looking for them.

Late in the night the body of Gabriela was found, apparently having taken her own life by cutting her own throat with a stolen straight razor. Angelica was never found.

“Did she take her own life? Or was it you?”

“She never saw what I saw.”

Three days later when many of the town gathered for Gabriela’s funeral the church caught fire and burned down, killing most of those inside. Despite efforts to extinguish the blaze it burned through the night. The fire revealed forgotten catacombs underneath the church, into which the burning ruins collapsed.

Timeline

• Born October 6th 1906 in Santa Fiora, Italy
• Vistaions from an Angel occur during the Spring and Summer of 1919
• Murders her cousin on the night of October 13th 1919
• 3 days later on the morning October 16th she bars the door of church trapping those attending her cousin's funeral inside and sets it on fire
• On the evening of October 16th she returns to the burning remains of the church and is embraced by Scorrimento in the light of the inferno
• Helps sire locate a new haven and is educated in the ways of the Lancea Sanctum and groomed and refined to be the best possible monster who can ignite the fear of god in those who require it
• Towards the very end of 1919 she sets off on a journey throughout the rest of Italy which evolved into her becoming a travelling free lance Inquistor that eventually led her to journey throughout Europe.
