Personal Information
Born In the 1830's to a Wealthy settler family in Australia he was sent back to England for his higher education the the age of 12 as it was felt the Schools were inadequate to his Breeding and potential. At the age of 16 he joined the cavalry, running away from his boarding school to do so and quickly rose up the non-commissioned ranks to that of Sergent of Horse, Shortly after receiving promotion he was transferred to a new regiment as Lieutenant, and eventually, before the outbreak of the Crimean War Rose to the rank of Captain. He survived the 'Charge of the Light Brigade', his company having been moved to under the brigade's command temporarily as reinforcement. After Returning from the war he was insulted buy the captain of another company within his regiment who claimed that if Angus had been really been a 'true officer' he would have been killed in the charge of the light brigade. This resulted in an illegal duel during which the other officer, during which the office cheated and pulled a derringer to shoot Morran. The shot wounded Morran in the right arm , but even fighting left handed he manged to disarm and wound his opponent.
