Personal Information

Appearance

Pale, slender and withdrawn, Anne stands at 5'1" with wary grey eyes and willowy hair pulled back into a low bun. She looks young, perhaps not even of drinking age, and might possess a simple, modest beauty if not for the clusters of severe boils and cysts that cover her face and shoulders, distorting her flesh. Anne dresses conservatively, with a plain dark skirt falling below her knees, and is usually swaddled in a dark cardigan over a white blouse. A simple gold cross pendant is always hung about her neck, and a black ring adorns her left middle finger.

Personality

Anne was a Good Christian Girl just about to finish school; shy, bookish, devout and innocent. The circumstances surrounding her embrace remain a mystery. Skittish and thin-skinned, Anne is a very sensitive young neonate, and often has trouble standing up for herself. She is nothing if not dutiful, both to her faith and to those around her. She will do what is obligated of her without question, often at her own expense, and especially if it means pleasing those close to her. Anne wrings her hands together when she is nervous, and finds it hard to maintain eye contact with others, especially strangers. For some time after her embrace, she had taken to covering her affliction with bandages, but having cast them away recently, she seems to slowly be gaining more confidence.

2016

  • March - Anne attends court in Adelaide for the first time. She befriends Archived-Amelia Crawford, taking shelter in her Haven.
  • April - Anne gets back in touch with her sister, Joan. She contacts Mother Archived-Elizabeth Saint-Matthew on the Kindred forums about matters of faith.
  • May - After attending Lancea Sanctum Mass for the first time, Anne is given a copy of the Testament of Longinus. During her first visit to the Necropolis and Caldarium, the Nosferatu scout the tunnels for a massive beast known as the Leviathan, narrowly escaping with their Requiems.
  • June - During her studies of the Testament, Anne takes to heart some of its many lessons. With some help from Archived-Evrae Altana, she is reunited with her pet rats, Johann and Sebastian.
  • July - Corrupted by the Leviathan, Archived-Amelia Crawford meets final death, leaving her ghoul and home to Anne. After making an arrangement with Archived-Carsten Sobels, he provides her with a Kombi as temporary haven instead, and allows her to stay in his territory. Later, he names her Nosferatu Whip.
  • August - With help from Reverend Archived-Timothy Ward and Brother Saul Rodrigues, Anne is complicit in the deaths of Amelia's ghoul and two kine witnesses. She is deeply shaken by this experience, but no less determined to fulfill her unholy duty.
  • September - Anne is inducted into the Lancea Sanctum by Archived-Timothy Ward and anointed as a Priest. A city expedition into the Necropolis to clear out unwelcome guests leaves Anne partially responsible for the death of Prince Alexander Black.
  • October - Beginning her studies into Theban Sorcery and upholding her duties as Priest, Anne takes Archived-Saul Rodrigues' confession, later scourging him publicly as penance. In an act of confidence and self-acceptance, she casts away her bandages.
  • November - Anne attends Mass. Although she has been gaining the strength to uphold her role as Priest, her confidence in Archived-Saul Rodrigues is shaken by rumours of his sins. She begins to grow close to Lord Archived-Michael Storm. Two strange and ominous children, Twins called Soremaya and Fratelemayu, appear to Anne during her nocturnal violin concertos.
  • December - The Nosferatu journey underground once more, successfully reclaiming the Necropolis and eradicating the Larvae spawned by Kormac, an evil spirit and enemy of Kindred nationwide.

2017

  • January - Anne undertakes the Quadragesima, a Longinian period of fasting and prayer. Archived-Michael Storm makes advances on Anne, who turns to Archived-Saul Rodrigues for advice; with careful consideration, she decides to reciprocate in an attempt to overcome her own trauma and insecurities.
  • February - With help from Archived-Murmur and Archived-Carsten Sobels, Anne carves out a sepulcher (a personal haven in the Necropolis) for herself, after which she and Carsten take a peaceful trip to his hometown. Anne confesses her affair with Archived-Michael Storm to Inquisitor Archived-Saul Rodrigues, who convinces her to slander him to the Prince as penance. Her lie is made public, much to her humiliation. That same night, Saul brags to the Nosferatu about his heinous and heretical acts in the city in the name of "Saint Kormac," declaring the Adelaide Sanctified weaklings. He is killed by Archived-David Jao. Realising her naivety and foolishness, Anne begs Michael for forgiveness and promises to atone for her mistake.
  • March - With help from her fellow Nosferatu, Anne attempts to discern the true nature of the Twins; she learns they are not Kindred as she suspected, but something even more murderous. Alder Archived-Fulltür's insistence that they should be destroyed is met with strong defiance from Anne, who believes they nevertheless must have some part in God's plan. At the Adelaide national gathering, Archived-Michael Storm meets final death in his duel with Sir Ezekiel Abrams, leaving Anne alone with her guilt, though his will bequeaths her a large fortune. A night spent studying under Brother Bartholomew teaches Anne some unique rituals and sage wisdom.
  • April - When she discovers the Twins have been taken in by Archived-Tarquin Ward, Anne commits to helping him take care of them during their stay at the Ward Estate, and suggests the possibility of teaching them the word of Longinus. Through dedicated study, her skill in Theban Sorcery increases.
  • May - Archived-Tarquin Ward, who has taken a great liking to Anne, decides to mentor her closely.
