Personal Information

Alex Stark (Shroud) is a Mekhet within the Court of Governor James Wilson. Prior to the embrace, Shroud lived in Merredin and then Perth as a performer on the streets.

He has been part of the Carthian Movement for about 15 years and worked toward his Experiment during this time, which is to offer services to other Covenants and Clans in order to create a more trusting kindred network and promote kine welfare. To do this he often comes to new Cities and will approach groups and offer services. In 2017, he became the Perth Carthian Prefect and Magistrate, then co-joined the Ordo Dracul as a secondary Covenant within the Roxby Downs Academy.

Appearance

Shroud looks like a young man in his early 20's, reasonably tall and slim muscled beneath his clothing... Not that many see it. The mask and gloves he previously wore are now rarely seen. When in public he frequently wears his old patched up black and grey hooded jacket, boots and jeans, normally concealing an array of weapons and tools on his person. Brown eyes gleam mischievously, and his short brown hair is well kept - all in all, he looks like a nobody when passing on the street.

Personality

Shroud has become far more active and outgoing than he was for the first 22 years of his requiem, seeming completely different since his nightmare year in Melbourne in 2014. He no longer automatically hides himself behind layers of clothes and is far more open with others, and himself. His views of the world are that it is incomplete, like a puzzle that needs change to move forward, his curiosity and appetite for knowledge pushes for this. He enjoys gifts, strange little things he finds, and bettering himself, others and situations.

Mortal World

Being quite young in vampiric and mortal terms, Shroud still has large amounts of access to the current mortal world and is active in it. Many mortals who meet him are for one of two things - his work as a farmer or his part in the charity and high society spaces.

Timeline

• 1970 - Born in Merredin, WA to a family of farmers.
• 1985 - Something happened, he became homeless for over a year in Perth.
• 1988 - Moved in with his cousin J.W. in Perth. Took up an apprenticeship in IT.
• 1992 - Embraced by the little-known of Mekhet known as "William".
• 1999 - "William" disappears in what Shroud believes is preparation for the Millenium Bug.
• 2000 - Effectively joins the Midnight Masque, acting as an information gatherer along with his cousin J.W.
• 2012 - Left the Perth Court and joined the Albany Court, moved back to Merredin.
• 2014 - Spent the year in Melbourne, became the Sheriff of Melbourne.
• 2014 - Ghouled a bear, Sir Bearington.
• 2015 - Came back to Perth.
• 2015 - Received payment for a boon, his second ghoul Ssabines the albino lavendar reticulated python.
• 2015 - Was involved in a street performance with other Masque members that threw the entire nightclub district of Northbridge into a frenzy, involving LOTS of riot police.
• 2015 - Went to Conclave and participated in quelling spirits, going so far as to lead the local Lance in this, and secured the Conclave venue. Investigated the VLAD unit for the Invictus.
• 2015 - Has been investigating cases of Mekhet being targeted in WA, involving kidnapping, torporing and ashing.
• 2016 - Has finally found the lost Mekhet after roughly six months of searching, as well as the (only recently noticed as missing) Gangrel and Ventrue. For his actions in keeping the Mekhet safe and hunting the cause over an extended period without being taken, he was awarded the Valued status among Mekhet. Also been bouncing around the country with Invictus to Brisbane and Adelaide.
• Feb 2016 - Worked with the OD of Brisbane to look into the Locus causing anger problems in Saint Lucia, before negotiating with Carthians and Invictus over the torpor of Lord Child.
• March 2016 - In WA has been looking after his family and the Mekhet. During the gathering with the Court they bloodhunted and annihilated Chuck, the body-hopping zombie. His accomplices were captured and taken by Alexander. During downtime he with the Invictus and the Circle rescue Elder White from the WA trenches in the sea.
• April 2016 - Who knows?
• May 2016 - Spent a large amount of time looking after the Mekhet. Participated in the raid on Larz and finally saw his brother recover his memories after months of trying to help him.
