This is the new amended Character Development Document for use with all characters in the Armidale Requiem Chronicle. By completing this document, you will earn 8 Experience Points that can only be spent on the Character used in this document. This document is designed to help the player and the Storytellers flesh out the character, filling in background and relevant character ties. It may be completed for XP only once per character, though players are encouraged to update this document as their character evolves across the chronicle.

If a question does not apply to you, you do not have to answer it.

Concept

This section asks about all the basic information on your Character, and the relevant information on the Character’s Genre and position within that Genre. All sections are first person Character/Player.

01. What is your Character’s name? List any associated pseudonyms.
02. When and where were you born? (Keep in mind existed before 1800AD: High Approval. What is your prime nationality, and what language do you speak? Why on earth did you come to Australia?
03. How were you brought into the World of Darkness (Embraced, Ghouled, etc.)? (Detail your Sire or include contact details for PC Sire.) If you feel creative write a few paragraphs on why you were choosen, what the embrace was like, and your first few nights as a vampire.
04. What is your Clan & any Mortal lineage where applicable? (Include any House or Bloodline details) Is this more important than Covenant? Have you Sired?
05. To which Covenant do you belong, and why (Incictus/Carthian, etc.)? Have you changed Covenant? Is this more important than Clan?
06. What positions have you held / do you hold, if any (Priscus, Primogen, Sheriff, etc.)?
07. Do you have a Haven, Home, Territory, etc? Where? Describe it – go into detail. (This should be backed by background dots or be considered a commitment to purchasing these dots) If not, where do you sleep?
08. What do you own in the way of mundane resources? (This should be backed by background dots or be considered a commitment to purchasing these dots)
09. Do you have any Retainers/Allies/Contacts or Influence? (Feel free to go into detail with names of individuals or companies. This should be backed by background dots or be considered a commitment to purchasing these dots)
10. Feeding. (Provide three examples of how you feed and how you cover up that you have fed. Do this in order of most common to least common. Unless otherwise specified in a downtime these will be treated as your usual feeding methods)
11 Activities: (Provide three examples of normal non-court nightly activities. Do this in order of most common to least common. Unless otherwise specified in a downtime these will be treated as your usual activities between games)
12. Crimes: Have you ever committed Amaranth? Revealed your nature to a mortal? Give details.

The Mortal World

This section deals with your interaction with life and your interaction with the world on a day to day basis. All sections are first person Character/Player.

01. Do you still have your original Birth Certificate? Are you using your original identity? Are you officially dead?
02. Do you own a vehicle? If so, what? Is it registered? When does the registry expire? Where do you keep it?
03. Does your home have a phone? Power connected? Cable TV? If so, under what names are they?
04. Does your character have a mobile phone? If so, under what name is it listed?
05. Does your character work or have a job?
06. Do you have a credit card? How do you pay your bills?
07. Do you own any business? Detail them?
08. Do you have a drivers license or any other official identification? If its fake, where did you get it? Do you have a police record?
09. Are you or were you famous in mortal society?
10. To what level has the character been educated?
11. Has your character travelled overseas at all? When if you have?
12. Has your character ever been married? Did they have mortal children/family? Do you know what happened to them?

Motivation

A Character with no motivation reacts rather than acts. Such Characters often bore Players because they spend the majority of game time waiting for something to happen to which they can react. Characters with motivation, on the other hand, are always working toward some objective; such characters often actively drive their own plots and help enrich the game for everyone. Consider this when answering the following section.

Personal Information
The following questions pertain to the motivations and rationales employed by your Character and the internal forces that drive it in the World of Darkness. The answers should provide the Storytellers with insight into the Character’s goals and objectives, and how these came to be.

01. What does your Character hope to accomplish in the near future; why these particular goals?
02. What are your Character’s long-term goals?
03. What is the real reason the Character is in his/her current city?
04. What are your Character’s greatest joys and fears. What do they love, or hate, that stands out?
05. Which emotions are the primary drives for your Character?
06. Does your Character hold a vengeance against something/someone? Who? What? Why?
07. What are your character’s relations with their Clan/Covenant/City/etc.? (This should be reflected in your Status)
08. What quirks does your Character have? How does your Character dress?
09. How do your Virtues and Vices impact? Describe such an occasion.
10. How does your character view the Mortal world and its events?
11. What ties do you still have to the Mortal world and how do you manage those?
12. Intangible Debts – who do you owe, who owes you and what? (Boons, favours, infernal bargains)

History

Draw from actual history, as well as the created World of Darkness and in-Game history, to provide pivotal points in your Character’s existence. Answer the following questions, and attach your brief, point-form history.

Remember you should NOT be a well-known historical figure. Certain associations are also frowned upon.

Background Information
These questions ask you to focus on the events that have shaped your Character, be they mundane or supernatural. Be brief and concise with these answers, as the intent is to highlight the most important moments in your Character’s history and provide Storytellers with clearly defined events.

01. When did youn arrive in Armidale/New England. Why did you arrive at this time? (Every two decades of residence will get you 1 background event/plot, randomly determined to be positive or negative)
02. What Interesting historical events as mortal have you witnessed? How did these important events impact on your life?
03. What Interesting historical events have you witnessed or partaken in, as a supernatural? How have they impacted on you?
04. What supernaturals have you encountered? (Detail any Allies or Enemies)
05. Have you ever broken the Traditions? Did you get away with it? Were you punished, and if so how and by whom?
06. If applicable, when and where have you gone into Torpor?
07. Who, if anyone, knows any of your darker secrets? What do they know? Whose secrets do you know? (Every decades of residence MAY get you 1 background event/plot, randomly determined to be positive or negative)
08. Have you lost any humanity in your character's history and if so, how? (Go into detail)
09. Any other history that helps define your character? (Dot point timeline is fine)
