It is said that the ninth member of the Firstborn (Soulless Wolf) swore allegiance to the Maeljin long ago, becoming a shell that feasted on the sins of his tribe so that the evils of the Bale Hounds would remain ever a secret, even from the watchful eye of Mother Luna.
