While all Kindred owe lineage to one of the five clan trees, sometimes the blood twists and warps the branches into something altogether different. These bloodlines shift and focus the Kindred condition toward specific, often familial abnormalities.

Due to a shortage of published bloodlines in Requiem 2e, a fair number of these are ported over from Requiem 1e. Please refer to the Addendum for particulars.

  • Adrestoi: Adrestoi are a Ventrue bloodline; they are exceptional hunters but must spend Vitae to control their emotions. (Ventrue p104)
  • Agonistes: The Agonistes are a bloodline of the Mekhet. They are a mysterious group who seek to preserve knowledge lost by Kindred to the Fog of Eternity, the loss of memory that comes with long periods of torpor. (Bloodlines the Chosen p16)
  • Angustri: The Angustri are both a Mekhet ghoul family and a minor bloodline, headed by Andrei Angustri, who was an Angustri ghoul that received the Embrace. (Ghouls p95)
  • Bak-Ra: The Bak-Ra, a Mekhet bloodline, are devoted (some would say fanatical) sun-worshippers; they have difficulty leaving the sunlit world behind and joining the dark Requiem every night. (Ancient Bloodlines p167)
  • Barjot: An extraordinarily familial Gangrel bloodline, none of the Jelinenes can stand to be removed from the company of his brood. (Carthians p156)
  • Brujah: The Brujah are a Gangrel bloodline suffering from the same weakness as every other Gangrel, going as far as drinking too much blood when some is at hand, rather than hunt with precaution every night. (Requiem 1e p235)
  • Calacas: Originating from the Nosferatu of Mexico City, the Calacas’ frequent close proximity to ghosts and haunted Dragon’s Nests means that ghostly phenomena are drawn to these vampires like iron filings to a magnet. (Shadows of Mexico p99)
  • Canda Bhanu: The Canda Bhanu are a brahmin-caste Ventrue bloodline of India. Along with the Amara Havana and the Rakshasa, they represent the dominant powers among Indian Kindred. (Ancient Bloodlines p53)
  • Caporetti: The Caporetti are a Nosferatu bloodline linked to the Battle of Caporetto in 1917, in the Italian Alps. They are surrounded by an aura of intense cold; the air temperature actually drops as much as ten degrees Celsius when a Caporetto is nearby. (Ancient Bloodlines p18)
  • Carnon: A Gangrel bloodline born from neo-paganism and similar alternative lifestyles, the Carnon revel in an Requiem of excess and the hunt. (Circle of the Crone p168)
  • Childer of the Morrigan: The Childer of the Morrigan are a Gangrel bloodline closely associated with the Circle of the Crone; they are bested by permanent, incurable depression. (Circle of the Crone p172)
  • Cimitière: A small Nosferatu bloodline originating with Baron Cimitière, innately tied to their faith (vodoun for most). (New Orleans p59)
  • Cockscomb Society: The Cockscomb Society is an aristocratic Nosferatu bloodline that imitates the Hellfire clubs of the late 19th century; they defy the usual Nosferatu stereotypes: they're sociable, they dress stylishly, etc, but at the cost of crippling ennui. (Nosferatu p106)
  • Domus: The Domus, from both Daeva and Nosferatu stock, hold that one's word truly is their bond in pursuit of a more civilised Night Society (SPI Wiki)
  • Erzébet: A Daeva bloodline, the Erzsébet feel the weight of age and frailty upon them. This lead them to an important realization: Enjoy youth and vigor while they last, because soon they will give way to sleep under the sun. (Daeva p104)
  • Eupraxus: The Eupraxus are a rare Daeva bloodline strongly associated with the Invictus. The Eupraxus believe themselves to be the natural leaders of Kindred society. Members of the bloodline are unable to heal wounds caused by their bite, and each of them sports a never-healing wound from their Embrace. (Immortal Sinners p54)
  • Eupusae: The Empusae are a Gangrel bloodline that is centered around its founder, the Gangrel Prytania Hecate, who lets herself be revered as a goddess. So far, all members of the bloodline are female and part of the cult that revers Hecate. (Immortal Sinners p127)

  • Les Gens Libres: Les Gens Libres ("The Free People") are a Haitian bloodline of Gangrel originating from the time of the Haitian Revolution. Originally made up of former slaves, the Gens Libres now welcome anyone fleeing any form of oppression, and believe their vampiric powers are a tool to turn the tables on their former oppressors. (Ancient Bloodlines p69)

  • Malintzin: The Malintzin are a Mexican Daeva bloodline styled after La Malinche, the indigenous lover of Hernán Cortés. They are allied with the Invictus and seen by other native vampires as traitors who sold out to save their own hides. (Shadows of Mexico p101)

To them, too many Kindred put the whole community in danger by recklessly over-feeding on kine, and risk "spooking the herd." By policing such excesses, often quite forcefully, the Shepherds ensure that the kine remain at ease and responsible feeding remains easy. (Ancient Bloodlines p36)
