Personal Information

" Our tale starts with a political gambit. Well no, that's not true. Our tale begins with a boys poor choice in company. But even that isn't the real start. Perhaps our story started when Sheriff Anne proved herself against the Sabbat in the battle of Red Sand, or when the Sabbat chose to invade Australia, or any such point. Perhaps it started in a long lost city in the middle east, we may never know.

But for us the story began with Anne the Sheriff. Anne was an Ancillae of the Gangrel, strong in arm and spirit. She had been granted a place in the court of Daimyo Oda as a loyal member of the camarilla, and guarded the title with fervent pride. She was not a political creature, our Anne, but she knew enough. When the Sabbat marched on Brisbane she stood against them.

They came by night in secret attack, in a fleet of dingy and junks, any ship that could hold a shovel head and steer by star. They landed on Stradbrook Island and slipped through the forest, pausing to feed and rest the day in the settlement of Dunwich. The next night they marched beneath the waves, marching for Cleveland, guided by the wooden lighthouse of Cleveland point, a monument that still stands today despite the ages shifting it slightly.

It is not recorded how the Ancillae knew they would come, or why she chose this path, but as the Sabbat rose from the waters the defenders of the Camarilla fell upon them, steel gleaming and claws red, fires raising steam and even the creatures of the deep rising up against them. It was in this battle that Anne earned her Honor, and the attention and perhaps the respect of Oda, for since then she has been raised to stand at his right hand, to carry out his will against any enemy the Camarilla may face.

Anne was not political beast, and she knew this. Perhaps it was a strength for her, that the Daimyo of Brisbane could trust that she could not replace him, or perhaps it was weakness, that the court of Brisbane might dance around her, to a music that she could not hear. But despite her tone deaf nature, even she could see the opportunities when the time came to expand the numbers of the Kindred of Brisbane once more.

When the time came to claim new neonates for the Camarilla, Anne spoke swiftly, claiming her childer from beneath the eyes of others. But recall that Anne was not gentle nor kind. She was no teacher, to explain mistakes and guide from ignorance to light. She was a warrior, and expected fellow warriors to stand behind her. So when confronted with the childe of her blood, she did not guide with gentle hand, but struck with whip and claw. The childe, which she called Dejenic, was no warrior, despite his kith and kin. He would rather banter and slink than roar and prowl, and his ignorance of topics that Anne considered common knowledge was met with pain for his perceived mockery.

Now Djenic, while no proud Gangrel Warlord, was not without resources of his own. Before he was turned, indeed the reason he was turned, he had led his kith in a group of riders, bound in violence. He rides with them still, though his nocturnal habits and his unageing visage begins to raise concern. Among the desperate and the foolish he still walks, though it is said that he himself has gathered companions of kindred blood to walk the night with him."
