Appearance

Jaqueline looks like a predator. No matter how she tries to hide her nature, there is something unsettling about her. That being said she is of average height, holds herself well, and she has the look of a woman too quickly grown up. Jacqueline screams Ventrue, it's there in her purple clothing, the purple makeup, and the elegance with which she holds herself. Right down to the purple flower in her hair. But there is something else behind it. Her hair is pretty, but never without flaw, the makeup on closer inspection isn't right, the eyes seemingly hungering for your blood while showing little other emotion. The way she smiles puts people on edge, and her ruthlessness can be seen as cold and offputting, and effect that is only exacerbated by the coldness of her touch. Perhaps it is something to do with the way she stands protectively to the side and slightly behind Elsa, perhaps it's to do with the way she whispers in Elsa's ear when things go badly and Elsa begins to smile. Whatever it is, something leaves people on edge around her.

Personality

Jacqueline is reserved, polite, yet friendly. Jaquelines moves with the grace of a woman well bred and well raised. She rarely raises her voice, and maintains her cool in most situations. She is quick to join a fight if she percieves danger to herself or those around, and is quick to defend her martial skills as 'training from Gladius'. There is definitely the appearance of internal conflict on her face at times, and this is perhaps why she prefers to defer to Elsa when making decisions on certain topics.

Personal Information - Before Embrace

Jacqueline was born the fourth child of the marriage between Etienne Luc d'Angoulême and Aldalheidis Ophelia Marguerite d'Rossel d'Angoulême. When Jacqueline was only six months old, her mother is gravely injured in a fall from a horse. Unfortunately she succumbed to her injuries, and Jacqueline was left without a mother.
She grew up well off and happy, even if she at times missed not having a mother, and she raised to be a strong, yet well mannered young woman. Her inquisitive mind and a good imagination, accompanied by a fondness for the stories she was read led her on many adventures. At age 15 Jacqueline was married to Charles Mayeaux. He was loving, caring, and encouraged her in all her pursuits. Over the next two years she produces four children, three girls and a boy.
At the age of 17 she encounters a vampire feeding one night while out with her children, and she begins to study the paranormal. Through the next year she sees more sightings of the vampire and writes a paper on him.
When she was 18 Jacqueline moved with her husband to Lichenstein for business. While there they decide to visit the castle where her grandmother grew up in before her death. While in Lichenstein and with his blessing, she publishes her paper Creatures of the Night under her husbands name, and it gets some attention. A few months later she meets her grandmother, who is seeking her husband in regards to the article he wrote. Jacqueline is shocked to learn her grandmother is alive and in her shock confesses it was her who wrote the article, not her husband. Elsa, discovering that Jacqueline is her living granddaughter, tells her everything she wants to know. Jacqueline asks to be able to accompany her around and to be brought into the world of vampires. Elsa explains that this cannot be and tries to dominate her to forget. However, something goes wrong and she finds she cannot successfully make her granddaughter forget everything. Instead, she takes Jacqueline with her, ghouls her, and makes her family believe their wife and mother is dead.
For over a hundred years Jacqueline is not allowed to leave Elsas side. She is always there, and is taught about staking and is given her own 'Elsa Staking Stake' by Elsa's childe Gladius. She is trains with him, and she learns about the Ventrue from Elsa, preparing her for the night she will be ready for the Embrace. Finally, one of their first nights in Russia, 160 years after she is first ghouled, Jacqueline is allowed out on her own for a short errand. She goes to carry out the errand but is ambushed on the way to the building by a man. They argue and in a fit of rage he embraces her. She doesn't realise what's happened until she wakes up and he tells her what he did. When he turns his back she pulls out her stake and thrusts it into his heart, then cuts his head off in her own anger at what he did to her. She is later found by Elsa when she doesn't return for the day, and upon finding her, Elsa expresses her disgust and explains that she needs to clean up the mess, that she has 10 minutes to do so and then they will never speak of this again.

• 1521 - Born in Angoulême.
• 1522 - Her Mother 'dies'.
• 1536 - Married to Charles Mayeaux. It is a loving marriage and she is happy.
• 1537 - Gives birth to triplets, all girls. She is seen as somewhat of a disappointment for failing to give her husband a male heir.
• 1538 - Finally gives birth to a baby boy.
• 1539 - Lichtenstein with her husband for business and to view her grandmother’s home. While there she publishes her paper 'Creatures of the Night' under her husband's name.
• 1540 - Meets Elsa Von Lichtenstein, who has been tracking her since the paper was published. Is subsequently ghouled by Elsa after a failed dominate and her family are taken care of.

• 1700 - Russia. Unbeknownst to her, it's Brujah territory. On her first night alone since she became Elsa's ghoul, she is embraced. In fury, she stakes him and remains there, unsure what to do with him, bordering on frenzy until Elsa finds her several hours later. Elsa tells her to clean up the mess, giving her 10 minutes to do so and expressing her disappointment. As her grandmother leaves Jacqueline frenzies, killing her sire. While here, she picks up Falconeering briefly but drops it when Elsa disapproves due to it not being 'a ladylike sport’.
• 1750 - Finland
• 1760 - Sweden

• 1790 - Netherlands. She meets Hans. He is 'a better Ventrue' than she is, and this displeases her.
• 1793 - Russia. She returns after confiding in Elsa that she wants to 'be with her own kind', as she is finding she is 'too Brujah for the Ventrue'. While here she picks up Falconeering again. In 1900 two of her siblings track her down and accuse her of murdering their sire. Upon realising the danger she is in, Jacqueline kills them both and flees with the help of a Tremere Elder.
• 1902 - Croatia. She comes to Croatia after she leaves Russia with the help of a friend, fleeing when other Brujah discover she has now killed three of their clan. When Elsa embraces her fourth childer, Jacqueline again despairs that she is not a proper Ventrue. But this time, Elsa has a solution, and both of them visit Gunderic.
• 1950 - Switzerland. Hans visits while she is here and the two get along well. Her first run in with Dryaed also occurs while she is here.
• 2015 - Moved to Australia to be with Elsa again.

Recent History

• DEC 2015 - Arrived in Canberra. Met the Prince. Became Ventrue primogen. Proved herself to be a skilled fighter.
• JAN 2016 - Helped her Grandmother host the party. Helped deal with Sabbat when they attacked. Made the clan goal to *fix* Elsa...
• FEB 2016 - Mysteriously absent the same night the Gunderic came to visit. Coincidence? Ensured completion of the Ventrue Clan Goal by having Elsa *fixed*.
• MAR 2016 - Was absent again this night, which meant that her grandmother was left alone to try and clean up the mess. It's suggested she was busy training and lost track of time.
• APR 2016 - Arrived, took out a szlachta and assisted in keeping Elsa calm throughout an Archon's visit. Smoothed things over with Hathus when Elsa insulted him in her distress, and had a very interesting conversation with him at the end of the night.
• MAY 2016 - Was not present at the gathering, but after she was sent to deliver a message to Gunderic, is it really surprising?
• JUN 2016 - Her grandmother brings up her embrace as a Brujah, rather than a Ventrue. Jacqueline, furious, turns on her and begins questioning. Elsa explains that through adoption into the clan she is indeed a Ventrue. Jacqueline gives up Primogen as she does not wish to represent the clan until she has determined for sure whether she is a Ventrue or a Brujah at heart.
• AUG 2016 - Announces her place as a Brujah, finally cutting the ties from the biological grandmother she believed had been responsible for her embrace as a Ventrue. Upon having her memories returned, she finds she indeed begged for some kind of mercy from the pain and frustration of being a Brujah, and her grandmother did help her out. However, now she has them back, Jacqueline, while understanding of her grandmothers actions, does not wish to be what her grandmother made her into, and has decided to keep her Brujah place, as much as the past is full of terrors.
