Personal Information

Appearance

Tall. Young. Sandy Hair. Typically paints his face with the visage of a skull, or a cross, but never particularly well. Just about always clad in gang leathers for Satan's Spawn.

Personality

Devout when it comes to matters of the Lancea Sanctum. Originally somewhat maniacal, boastful, loud and antagonistic. Since the death and torpor of his closest allies however, his personality has become tempered and drawn back by his anger. He now comes across much more reserved. He acts as if with each step he carries a heavy burden, and speaks as if through gritted teeth.

Grim is still a Thug, through and through. He determines merit through strength, not purely physical, but strength of faith and principle also. While Grim isn't stupid, his temperament has led him to frequently jumping to conclusions based on limited information, something he is beginning to see has been the cause for his allies' demise.

Mortal World

Lived in Adelaide from birth till his 16th birthday (or near enough) and has been on the road ever since. Recently returned from the United States, where he spent a few years with biker gangs around the California region, as well as a few years behind bars for arson and theft.

Timeline

• 1980s - Born to Swedish Father and Australian Mother, 1984.
• 1990s as a child, Kyrkogym's true name was James. while is mother was sweet and kind, his father was the opposite. He would often tell James stories of his homeland and the ancient custom of burying dogs alive to guard newly built churches - stories of Church Grims - "Kyrkogym", in an effort to scare his son into being a good boy.
• 2000s – Kills his father on his 16th birthday, after coming home to discover him beating his mother. Mother dies from injuries, Grim flees with nothing but his fathers motorcycle and his mothers crucifix. Spent the following 6 years moving around Australia as a career criminal. Moved to the United States in 2006, joins biker gang in south California. 2008 is arrested for arson, assault and theft, sentenced to 18 months behind bars. Serves an extra 6 months for assault, after breaking the nose of another inmate who attempted to steal his crucifix.
• 2010 - Embraced 2011, after saving the life of another gang member. Takes on the name Kyrkogym. Meets Johnathan Thayn, who convinces him to return to Australia, and find faith. Returns to Australia sometime between December 2011 and March 2012, Joins Satans Spawn and the Lancea Sanctum.
• 2013 – Shows up with some other members of Satans Spawn in Canberra. Is now a member of the Canberra Chapter of Satans Spawn.

2013

Arrives in canberra and becomes a small time player in court. He and his cotorie inadvertently begin to ignite a discord between the Invictus and LS of the city. Holds the position of Hound on and off through the year.

2014

The discord between Invictus and the Satan's Spawn cotorie grows. It's peak erupts when Reiger is brought before the court and an attempt on his life is made by the Invictus prince of the time. It all further unravels when Calvin Harper is torpored by the Satan's Spawn and other LS in the city, and following, Doubting Thomas is destroyed by an Invictus hit squad. Grim disappears to contemplate recent events, but returns in time for the annual gathering, at which he is approved as speaker of the LS.

During the Annual gathering, Reiger's Skull is displayed to the gathered Lance, then presented to Zarkov by Lupo. It finds its way to Melieke, and then back to Grim. using the blessings of a number of the sanctified, he establishes 'proof' that Reiger was killed by Lupo. the skull is destroyed in Grim's muted rage.

In the latter months of 2014 Grim journeys to Brisbane with the torpid body of Calvin Harper, returning him to the Volmark there.

2015

The early months of 2015 see Grim travelling to Brisbane again, however for personal reasons rather than ties of his former cotorie-mate. The Satan Spawn being shattered by gang-wars in Canberra, and the Praxis of Zarkov ending, he takes leave of canberra while it is still relatively safe and he has the freedom to do so. He learns more of the Gangrel there, and learns more about himself in the process.

Claims Praxis as Zarkov steps down as prince in February, with little contest from Uncle Willy. Appoints new court positions, honoring several boons.

Stands Vigil during the battle between the Valdyr and the Volmark in May. Secures the bodies of all the torpored Valdyr, secreting them away to places unknown...

Spends a few months away from the court during which Murdoch Tyron assumes praxis in Canberra, and his childe, Nyx appears in the city. when he returns, Nyx has already begun to make a name for herself, and he turns to matters of clan and family business. at the annual gathering, he passes the mantle of Speaker of the Lance down to Nyx, and steps in to fill the role as Head of Clan Gangrel.

Lineage

A Brujah Cast-out, his Heritage is mostly unknown.

He has only one known Childer, Nyx.

The Valdyr do not have the benefit of our faith to see them through these cold nights, least of all this family who are so closely tied to one another. It will scarcely be a month before they will be back with sharper blades and more wicked claws, and they will come to claim their fallen. I beseech you, give them to me, let an end come to this war, and I swear by my blood they will not rise against the Volmark again.

Lothar: It is true, The Valdyr will be safer hidden from their remaining allies. However it is still our duty and honour to hold them, and I must ensure they remain safe and constrained. Swearing on your blood is acceptable to me but my family will require more. Taking this task will be a lifelong endeavour, do me this boon, and I will repay you in kind when you are in need.”

Grim:I will accept this charge, but I must ask that the youngest, this... Morrigan... she reminds me of myself when I was so young. Had I not had Doubting Thomas to guide me, I would have succumbed to the night long ago. By your leave I would wake her and teach her. This, of course, will not affect the arrangement for Nastasya.

Lothar: Honestly I never gave a shit about this war and now Godric is dead and my sister in charge I have no reason to continue. You have my blessing to hold them, and to take what spoils you wish, but I am not the Lord Sovereign of House Volmark, so Batavia may hunt you down, or maybe me. I wish you the best as you fraternise with heathens, may you redeem their souls. I feel a great weight lifted off my shoulders, like when the first crest of high tide. they shake hands May we sail together one night.
