Appearance

Lance is neither short nor particularly tall, standing at around 5’9” tall and weighing around 75kg. He has thick, wavy dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and tanned skin. He can sometimes be seen with scruffy facial hair, although most of the time he’s cleanly shaven. Lance can usually be found wearing dark, casual clothing. Leather jackets and dark jeans are a personal favorite of his. They allow him to blend in and look appealing enough that he can be allowed to enter bars and the like. Face claim: Devon Bostick.

Personality

Lance can be a bit over the top sometimes when it comes to planning things out. Before doing something, he’ll often waste time double checking, triple checking and going over the details of a plan when he really doesn’t need to. *Everything* has multiple angles, multiple meanings and nothing is how it seems. At least, that’s what he believes. He tries to dial this back around other people but can come off a bit needlessly paranoid at times. He also must always be doing something with his hands. Whether its fidgeting, playing with a pen or flicking a coin. He can come off as a bit restless sometimes. Sometimes, Lance can be a bit of a smartass, which can certainly get him into trouble. He’s rather fond of questioning peoples’ decisions and methods, which can cause a bit of strife if people aren’t prepared for it. He also tends to poke his nose into a bit too many pies at once.

Timeline

• 1995 - Lance is born to Alexei and Amanda Novell at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on the 27th of May. His sister is present and welcomes the newborn brat into the world.
• 1998 - His sister disappears in what is ruled as a freak accident while kayaking. Her body is never found. Lance doesn't remember all that much about this time in his life, as he was only three years old at the time.
• 2012 - Graduates Year 12 at Adelaide High School.
• 2013 - Starts forensics degree at Adelaide Uni.
• 2014 - Drops out of said degree.
• 2015 - Acquires his private investigator's license and begins doing solo work.
• 2016 - On September 12th, Lance's investigations bear fruit when he discovers his sister alive and well. Unfortunately, this poses a problem as he's accidentally uncovered a Kindred and breached the Masquerade. Whoops. Instead of being killed, his sister Embraces him into Clan Mekhet. Shortly after, he is found and inducted into the Adelaide All Night Society.
