Introduction

Beyond the Sunset's mailing lists are both used to co-ordinate the day-to-day business of domains, and assist with in-character communication between any active venues nationally.

The List Administrator is currently Ren Leahy. Contact him if you have any problems gaining access to the national lists, or problems with your local lists.

The National Communications Coordinator is currently Alex MacKenzie.

A number of IC lists are closing, either due to inactivity or because we are moving towards using the forums as our primary IC communication platform across Domains. The list of forums can be found here.

Starting Out

If you're new to the club, the most important lists to subscribe to are ooc.australia and your local domain list. If you play in a game and would like to stay appraised of the gossip that goes on between games, or participate, you should also check the in-character lists for that genre, or with your ST, if there's a list for your domain.

When you sign up, you will have to list your name, and a password. Occasionally, you'll also have to wait to be 'verified'; this can take up to 24-48 hours. Once you're a member, you can also revisit the list to search the archives for previous messages.

In-Character Lists

The following are the In-Character Lists, organized by genre.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe from all BtS mailing lists please follow these very simple instructions:

  • Visit the list info page of a list that you know for certain that you are subscribed to (there is a comprehensive list of links above).
  • At the very bottom of every list info page there is a subscribers section, which has a text box where you enter your email address and a button marked 'Unsubscribe or edit options' which you will want to click.
  • This will take you to a membership configuration page where you will find many very cool options. Find the one with the button marked 'List my other subscriptions'.
  • You will be taken to a page that lists the lists that you are subscribed to, with very convenient links to their unsubscribe options. Neat huh?
  • It then becomes a matter of visiting each of the links on the list subscriptions page you are shown (I recommend opening them in new tabs/windows so you don't lose your place) and clicking the unsubscribe button.
