2014

View Events

• While in Garou form, Henry Holds-His-Head-High Masterson encounters Dain Sorensen attending to the aftermath of a crime scene. Gripped by fear and terror, Dain undergoes the First Change to protect himself. Soon after, Dain leaves his position within SAPOL and joins Memento Mori after his mentor, Henry, reveals himself as the Uratha he encountered and as a member of the Lodge of the Shield.
  
• After several months of training and initiations, Dain is formally welcomed into the Bone Shadows by Samuel Strikes-From-Afar' Cortez.
  

2015

• Dain enters into a relationship with the Pack's Wolfblooded, Lief Jorgensen.
  

2016

• During the massive storms this year, Memento Mori provides aid to many rural communities and works with a variety of Wolf-Blooded to provide essential services and supplies to affected areas.
  

2017

• The pack decide to take up a more nomadic lifestyle and travel around regional South Australia in search of forgotten knowledge, wild spirits and rare teachings. During a journey through the Simpson Desert, Dain made a deal with a powerful and old Desert Spirit in order to grant Memento Mori safe passage. The deal was that the pack had to relinquish all water, liquids and sustenance in exchange for a cool breeze, clear skies and favourable conditions for the duration of their journey.
  

2018

• In the first part of the year, the pack investigates a murder-spirit causing havoc in one of SA’s country towns. It had possessed someone and murdered a family. After offering to lead the investigation, Dain was able to figure out it’s weaknesses and put a stop to it.
  

Early 2019

View Events

• The Pack decides to set themselves up in the Flinders Ranges. Several months later, while on a scouting mission, Dain comes across a lone Uratha who attacks him on sight. After a brief but intense fight, Dain decides to act in accordance with the Oath of the Moon and spare the Uratha's life. A week later, his Pack is attacked by a roaming group of Predator Kings. The battle soon turns into a bloodbath, leaving a heavily wounded Dain and a severely weakened Pack Totem trapped in a collapsed cave system as the only survivors of the attack. Several days pass before he is able to find his way out of the mountain caves and emerges as the only Uratha to survive the attack. Several weeks later, and after learning many things from the local Spirits, Dain begins the long pilgrimage back to the safety of Adelaide.
  

Late 2019

• While seeking to reconnect with the Protectorate of Adelaide, Dain encounters Larz Morrison, a fellow Bone Shadow. Following several conversations, Dain asks Larz to join the Pack, he accepts.

Appearance

Sumukh-Iurhir, First Tongue for ‘Barghest’ or ‘Black Dog’, resembles a large black dog made of twisting, swirling shadows with glowing red eyes. Where it walks its footprints leave a trail of ash and embers.

While most myths of the Black Dog paint it in a negative light, the Totem’s purpose is to keep pack-members aware that death or negative circumstances may come at any time, so it is best to be prepared and try to see things from any possible angle. It encourages critical thinking, rational behaviour and to always question everything you see or hear. It is a reminder of one’s own mortality, not so they dwell on it, but so that they have a reason to constantly challenge themselves, seek new ideas and information and live life to the fullest.
