Pre-1700: Stories are told by the Nyoongar peoples of nomadic, traditional, tribe-based and deeply spiritual vampires. They have existed alongside the native mortals for as long as either can recall. The Gnoytj-Ngoon as they were known are equal parts bloodline, pack and covenant. They maintained a symbiotic relationship with the mortal populace, protecting the tribes from more dangerous threats in exchange for the blood they needed to survive.
