Personal Information

Riuji enjoys social and political manipulation and while his skills are rusty he's been honing them again since coming out of torpor.

Appearance

Riuji does his best to blend in with mortal society while standing out from those around him. He takes care of his appearance dressing in a suit and tie at most times and when among his fellow Kindred openly carrying an ornate katana. Riuji is not someone who will be ignored.

Personality

Riuji is outgoing, friendly, talkative and manipulative. He will spin anything he can to his or his covenants advantage and enjoy every moment of doing so. Even so there's something about him that attracts people to him.

Mortal World

In the mortal world Riuji is an up and coming member of the Yakuza, quickly building a reputation for being quick to pick up and understand their practices. He's often used not just for those times violence is necessary but for white-collar crimes.

Information Known by Kindred Society

Riuji was a hard working member of the Carthians almost from the day he was embraced. He was cut throat and ruthless with his opponents and extremely loyal to his allies. He built a solid reputation with the Carthians and the grudging respect of the other covenants. He also quickly became brash and arrogant, rushing into danger without asking questions. It wasn't long before he disappeared from Kindred society only to re-appear 30 years later after being in Torpor. The Riuji that returned wasn't quite the Riuji that Kindred society remembered. He had the same smile and easy going nature but he was more cautious and asked more questions before getting involved in any situation. Over the 9 years since he has awoken he has slowly regained his position with the Carthians and began to cautiously rebuild the rest of his reputation.

Timeline

• 1940 - Born
• 1958 - Accidentally fell in with the Yakuza after failing to get into a decent college and working whatever part time jobs he could to get by.
• 1964 - Was part of the Kendo demonstration team at the Tokyo olympics and gaining Kage's attention.
• 1967 - After being tested by Kage was offered the choice to be embraced or die.
• 1975 - Continued to cement his place amongst the Carthians and prove his place among the Mekhet. It was around this time that his overconfidence began to get the best of him.
• 1980 - After allowing himself to get drawn into a conflict against a rival Yakuza clan Riuji is left in Torpor and buried.
• 2010 - Riuji awakens and claws his way out of his grave. He begins to slowly make enquiries about his old life both mortal and kindred.
• 2013 - Having re-connected with his old covenant and assuming his old role Riuji begins to reach out to old contacts and try to learn more about the world.
• 2016 - Riuji finally manages to make his way back into the Yakuza and gaining a few allies there.
• 2018 - Makes contact with Kage again and carefully makes enquiries about his current situation.
• 2019 - Accepts Kage's invitation to come to Canberra and assist with his issues there.
