Auctoritas

The Official Ritae of the Sabbat conducted by a Bishop or a Pack Priest of their choosing.

Everyone in the sect practices the Auctoritas Ritae. Each one gives expression to an important aspect of the Sabbat’s mission and goals, and their universal exercise binds members together.

Games of Instinct

Drive By

A game played by Sabbat in Camarilla held cities. The Sabbat conduct a Drive By Shooting on a Campire killing several innocent people in the process, and leaving the Campire in a difficult, Masquerade Breaching situation - how will they explain surviving several fatal gunshots? Bets are often placed on whether the Campire will display vampiric disciplines to leave the scene, come up with some flimsy excuse as to why they were able to survive several fatal gunshots (often attracting the attention of hunters) or leaving their mortal persona behind forever.

System: Characters that receive the blessing of a Priest may use the bonus towards non-discipline and non-combat tests, such as the Drive test, Intimidation tests, and (non-Discipline) tests that are made to ensure that the Media pay attention to the story.

The Status of Crafty is awarded for one month to any Sabbat that is able to force a Campire to abandon their public, mortal persona (ie. the Media report them as dead) and/or have hunters kill the Campire for them.

Ignoblis Ritae

The “low rites” vary from pack to pack. Not all packs observe them; many packs that do acknowledge them put local variations and emphases on them.

Each Pack should be encouraged to create their own way of conducting these Ritae and may have special Ignoblis Ritae unique to their pack. Speak to your VST about creating Ignoblis Ritae for your pack.

Sun Dance

Note: Participating in this Ritae will attract a Morality Test for Characters on the Path of the Feral Heart.

Seasonal

These Auctoritas Ritae are performed every year, and are likened to sacred Holidays to the Sabbat.
