Appearance

Saskia is white, tall and skinny, about 6'1” with half-lidded olive green eyes and a shapely face with a clear complexion, made less remarkable with an expression of permanent disinterest. Her right nostril is pierced with a silver sleeper ring, her lower lip with a metal stud. A mop of silvery dreadlocks falls down to her below average bust, clasped and tied in various places with string and silver rings, but her roots and eyebrows betray her as a natural brunette. A solid ink-lined tattoo of the moon, half blacked out, marks the back of her neck.

In classic Grunge style, Saskia is usually wearing an oversized red flannel shirt over a loosely fitting t-shirt or tank; her favourite is the one with the three wolves howling at the moon (for the irony of course). Ragged denim short-shorts or skintight leggings accentuate her long legs, and shoes are usually black motorcycle boots or weathered adidas sneakers. A plastic lace choker sits closely around her throat, and the only makeup she wears is mascara and dark winged eyeliner. When representing her colours, she'll throw her Goats MC kutte over her ensemble. On special occasions (mostly Invictus parties with dress codes), she'll wear a simple, black, double-slit dress.

Her two German Shepherds, Noah and Moses, will often be by her side. She prefers to keep them close, but recognises the risk of bringing them to large Kindred gatherings.

Personality

Saskia is detached and flighty. She speaks boredly and sarcastically to and of the people and things around her with little life in her voice, and rarely shows emotion at all. It takes persistence and patience to get past her deflective and closed-off demeanor, but those who do will find her impulsive, stubborn, dark-humored and a deathly loyal companion.

Mortal World

Saskia Winters was born July 3rd, 1990 in Broken Hill, NSW, where she spent her entire mortal life. Her mother Lydia was well-regarded in the community and ran her own small animal rescue with her twin sister Linda. Saskia's love of animals grew as she spent much of her childhood helping her mother and aunt take care of various native Australian fauna. Her father Jed worked the silver mines, and taught Saskia how to shoot, skin animals, and ride dirtbikes. They were very close. His sister Fern was a trucker, and taught Saskia vehicle maintenance and repair. Her brother Sam, a precocious and easygoing young boy, was born in 2001, and looked up to his big sister for guidance and protection. Lydia and Jed were loving and present, but took a somewhat hands-off approach towards parenting, especially as Saskia reached her teen years, giving their children freedom and independence.

Jed died tragically during a mining accident in 2007 involving underground blasting. His family was devastated. Lydia became more solitary and focused on her work, and Saskia, refusing to show weakness, pushed aside her grief to become a substitute masculine role model to Sam. She became extremely protective of him, and they spent a lot of time together on their family's rural property, Saskia passing on everything Jed had taught her and regaling Sam with stories of their beloved father.

When Saskia graduated highschool, she slowly became more distant from her mother and brother. Having never properly processed her grief, she spent most of her nights out drinking and smoking with friends, watching slasher movies, or shooting feral cats and rabbits until the small hours of the morning. In December of 2012, a strange figure approached Saskia one night on her way home, claiming to have marked her years before as a child for a destiny she would not yet understand. She only vaguely recalled the man, but was intrigued by him, and followed him to an abandoned house full of cats where he embraced her and began to teach her the ways of the Kindred and the Gangrel.

Post-Embrace

Saskia was attached to what remained of her family. Even after her embrace at age 22, she stayed at home. Having already transitioned to a relatively nocturnal lifestyle previously, Lydia never pressured her to rise before sundown, but showed some concern at her eating habits. Sam on the other hand, about to finish primary school, was put out by his sister having gradually become more distant. On his birthday, barely a year into her Requiem, he tried to rouse her not long before sunset, demanding that they go out biking or shooting like they used to while it was still light out. The sudden provocation caused her to frenzy, and she tore Sam in half with her claws. After waiting for dark, she fled her house and sought help from her sire, who had been staying in the city since her embrace but keeping his distance from her family. By the time they returned home, her mother had stumbled across the bloody scene, and was about to call the police. Much to Saskia's horror, Manx killed Lydia to preserve the Masquerade, and after freeing the animals under Lydia's care, they left the house never to return.

Recent History

After refusing to stay with Manx, the wounds they'd caused together too fresh for her to bear, Saskia fled into the deep outback with her family's German Shepherds, Noah and Moses. She spent years learning to accept her Beast and its nature, rising only to hunt and feed with her pack before returning to the earth when the sun touched the sands. With no phone or watch, she kept track of time that passed with the cycles of the moon, and she learned to navigate by the stars. She roamed aimlessly, waiting for something like destiny to find her, before she stumbled across the desert town of Roxby Downs.

2016

• October - Saskia arrives in Roxby Downs, and goes hunting with the Gangrel. After warming up to Crow and Toph Miles and attending a Crone chorus gathering, she is quickly considered a Prospect for the Goats MC. She also helps the clan kill a demon and its minions in the abandoned abattoir.
• November - Attending court for the first time, Saskia is Acknowledged by Prince Isobel Bryce-Ashmore. Priscus Rasmus Laursen provides her with her own Haven in the city. Saskia acknowledges her true feelings for Crow, and they become devoted to one another. A killer party in a haunted house ends with arson.
• December - Manx visits Roxby Downs, reuniting with his childe and bringing her some closure. Saskia joins the Circle of the Crone in a bloody ritual hunt, and is named Mother of the Roxby Circle, taking the Horned God as her own. She joins a group of Kindred on a strange interdimensional expedition.

2017

• January - Saskia and Crow's bond deepens. Despite their promise to belong solely to each other, they acknowledge and accept mutual infidelity, including Crow's ongoing affair with Isobel.
• February - The Crone Gangrel call a wild hunt on Sebastian Kage, but fail to fell their prey. Rather than apologise, Crow challenges Tatiana Miasnivena for Clan Whip. Saskia discovers Isobel has blood-bound Crow to her twice.
• March - To protect Crow, Saskia agrees to sign a blood oath with the Prince, declaring neither of them may establish a full vinculum over him. Saskia befriends Pyotr Mokhov while Crow becomes more distant over Saskia and Isobel's agreement.
• April - Crow and Saskia mend their fraying connection. Saskia tries to make the best of their situation and share with Isobel.
• May - Tensions boil over when Pyotr's political dissent is violently silenced, and accusations of oathbreaking prompt Saskia to incite an attempted coup on Prince Isobel Bryce-Ashmore.
