Lineage
Known Sire
Though some mistakenly believe that Matthew Beaufort sired Silas, he was in fact Embraced by one Marya Ekaterina Kratochvíl, a Kindred sometimes known as 'The Mad Maleficar'. She turned him on a whim when pursuing his employers, and promptly disappeared into the night, leaving a newly Embraced Silas to fend for himself and put the puzzle pieces together. He has no relationship with her outside of resentment, though every few decades she likes to drop in on him and claim credit for how well he's turned out. To his understanding, she is currently in torpor after upsetting the Prince of Amsterdam.
Known Siblings
Marya has three Childe in total, though very little is known of the other two. She seemed to think it important she did everything in threes, though whether there was greater purpose and intent to her siring of them or just another product of her madness, none are sure.
Known Childer
- Sparrow Alvarez, a fledgling Embraced around the time of the former Prince's dethroning. Silas' executive assistant at Warrick & Greaves. Has a mouth that gets him in trouble.
Though Silas swore to never embrace another after what his own sire did to him, a series of events unfolded that lead to a situation where he had to turn Sparrow, or let him die. Several months later, he still couldn't tell you why he didn't just go with the latter; though he is fiercely protective of his childe, it seems to be less out of genuine care and more along the lines of you do not touch my things.
