Icarus is old, cranky and wants to retire, but his sense of duty keeps getting in the way. He enjoys taking on the roles of other people in social gatherings, such as TV personalities, and watching how people react. Underneath everything is a razor-sharp intellect and an iron resolve, ready to defeat any challenge.

Icarus has an in-depth knowledge of concillium and mortal law, as well as combat experience with an assortment of supernatural threats. He knows the devastation that can be caused by war, magical or otherwise, and seeks to avoid resolve conflicts without violence where possible. Covert sabotage, memory-rewriting, blackmail and politicking are all valid methods of achieving his goals however.

Recent events

1972-1984: (Work in progress)

1984: The 'Evening Wake' cabal accuse the Seer cabal of theft and espionage. The Seers do not turn up to any scheduled meetings; citing extraordinary circumstances prevented them attending each meeting. Hierarch Andrews retires for personal research. Hierarch Icarus is elected by a narrow margin.

Three months later the Seers all die in 'unrelated' incidents.

1990: Icarus settles a minor dispute between cabals over division of tass from a new source in the mine.

1992: Icarus is absent from the Concillium for a month while 'on special Order assignment'. The concillium runs smoothly in his absence.

1998: Icarus organises Concillium patronage for the opening of the Light Horse Museum on behalf of a sleepwalker relative.

2002: Icarus denies the Age of Reason cabal's request to repair the Era of Providence device.

2003: Icarus throws the Age of Reason cabal out during a Q&A session for "subversion".

2004: Icarus resigns as Hierarch of Armidale to accept a promotion within the Adamantine Arrow.

2005-2013: Icarus consults with cabals around Australia on matters of magical war, including Seers and other threats, as a prelude to retirement.
