Physical description: A man of average height, average build clad in a faded trench coat with an equally faded fedora hat that conceals his face in shadow. He has short dark brown hair, a five o'clock shadow and grey eyes.

The Detective was originally a police detective with the local Armidale police. His awakening ten years ago via the medium of an ancient text caused him to quit his day job and instead take up a career as a private consultant. Usually the Detective advises the local police on any matters pertaining to the occult as well as offering his services as an investigator to private clients, the local government and local businesses. He still has friends on the force as well as links with local government and the local media. Although not fabulously wealth his investigation agency makes enough to cover his living expenses and enjoy some luxury.
