The Knighthood of The Purest Light

The Knighthood of The Purest Light is Revered by The Lost of Brisbane above all others. An order founded by, though independant of, the Legendary First Monarchs on the eve that the Monarchs were last seen on their final journey. The story goes that The Frozen-Hearted Lord, the Hidden first Monarch of Winter gave them a secret powerful enough to stand alone against The Others without the protection of The Freehold Pledge.
The Knighthood was tasked to watch over the Freehold in their absence, as an unflinching but aloof light in the darkness. Almost One hundred and fifty years have passed since then and The Legendary First Monarchs have no returned, yet the order has remained and continues to perform this duty by protecting The Freehold and carrying out their silent vigil awaiting The Legendary First Monarchs return.
Despite the power the trust in them could afford them The Order has never directly interfered within the Freehold without the ruling Monarchs first requesting them to, nor have they ever had their honour or clarity tainted by The Others.
Titles: Paladins
Prerequisites: Clarity 7, Willpower 8, Sponsorship by a Paladin (An NPC order, though your PC can join as a story end)
Joining: New members are usually approached by the Order by some unknown criteria, but applicants have been known to be accepted in the past. To be accepted an applicant is taken to The Knightmaster, most applicants are turned politely away after several seconds of uncomfortable staring followed by a pleasant conversation. Those accepted at taken away to a secret place and return changed, more confidant and solemn.
Mien: The Paladins bear an aura of quiet self assurance, their mein seems to become wreathed in a halo of light. They hold the mantle of someone of authority, strong bearing and confidance. But to those of the Court of the Silent Arrow the faint sense of sorrow lingers.
Privileges: If they are a true entitlement as they seem to be they would be afforded some small priviledge, but it is unknown to all outside the Order if this is the case.
