Chronicles of Darkness: Requiem : Main · Regional History · Locations · Supporting Cast · VSS

This city, like all cities around the world, are inhabited by more than just the stars of the show. They all need a supporting cast, extras, and background noise, to make their production, their requiem, what it is. Unless otherwise specified, none of the NPC’s represented here, have any City Status, and will not accept any. They are the faces in a crowd, the people speaking when you are on the phone, or the one that took the last blood bag from the fridge. They are the neighbour over the fence, the familiar stranger you tip your hat to, or the one seated at Elysium reading an obscure text. They are not your friends and they are not your coterie. They could be family, but most likely not, they are your associates.

This, like many others consists of the principal cast, as well as the supporting cast. The principal cast are part of the city fabric, and have significant stories and histories with the city or perhaps the player characters. The support cast, are all but the nameless faces that make up a city, those that fill the meeting room, take up the boardroom chairs, allow for typical cities to run in a typical fashion.

Some live in the city, some live in the nearby region, many float in and out.

.. and then onto our...

Supporting Cast

THE CARTHIAN MOVEMENT

There are at any time, around 4 to 6 other members of the movement located in the metropolitan area of Toowoomba, but they operate under a temporary placement process, where none tend to remain dormant in the city for more than a few years without at least adventuring elsewhere. They may base themselves here.

  • Sonya Yablenka, Soviet Union.

Embraced Daeva before coming to Australia in 1988, as part of the world exposition in nearby Brisbane. Former dancer and acrobat, moved to the city in 1990. Stays home for a few months, before travelling near and far and returning.

  • Miss Sarah Bloomfield, English

Miss Sarah, embraced into the Venture. She comes from a line of money, from families of money. She holds not title or legacy, but has only known a comfortable life. Embraced with visions of being a perfect fit for the Invictus, she instead believes in the plight of others, for equality.

  • Lyle Cartwright, Australian

Lyle has been in the city only a short amount of years. Originally of Brisbane as a young man, the environment was not conducive to, well anything so he moved away and has now settled. This Gangrel does not enjoy the stereotypes that follow his clan, as he tries to remain vibrant and friendly.

CIRCLE of the CRONE

Long inhabited by those who worship the mother of all creation in her many varied forms, both those of a pure and life giving form, but also those of a more sinister darkness? From the indigenous people and their tales to others of pale skins that have travelled away from scrutiny, so they can practice their dark arts. In both the fringes of the city, as well as in the more remote communities, whispers of cults often surface, and fade away again.

  • Moonbeam, local Australian free spirit

As a Daeva childe of the 70’s, precious moonbeam might still be there. Freedom to believe, and express yourself are at her core, worshiping the earth birth mother, she is a nurturer and a lover for of all her creatures.

  • Toby Eaton, Australian/English/European accent, maybe?

This Nosferatu is difficult to age, due to his appearance. They sometimes call him young Toby, but that might be because he isn’t. Either way, he is quiet, and lives beneath the lights of the city, with any other hideous Nosferatu, well probably. Hard to know for sure. He knows there are greater things going on in the world, more than could come from any one god, so his faith is in the tapestry, and those who might weave it.

  • Aurora, United States, Alaska

Having only been in Australia since around 2008, she is new to the country and the people, having traveled over from the united states, but spent a lot of time in the far north. Some say that she may have been embraced under those fancy lights in the sky, and took them to be her name

INVICTUS

“A civilization cannot endure, without necessary structure” and so where the kindred go, the Invictus are compelled to tell them how to live, regardless whether the audience is receptive or otherwise. Considered perhaps too frontier for the Invictus, they have never held authority in this region.

  • Mr Robert Kensington

A Ventrue of substantial breeding, remains convinced he was sentenced to this as punishment for something either his sire or one of his siblings have done. Regardless of personal opinions, Mr Kensington is principally a man of duty, and if suffering in this backwater, with their nonsensical ‘Captains’ fiasco, then so be it. Mr Kensington speaks for the Invictus body.

  • Mr David Clarke

David is older than Robert, but is certainly not as ‘Invictus’ as him. This Mekhet is happy to follow direction, take Robert as for knowing what he is doing, and happy to not lead.

LANCEA SANCTUM

“Even in the blackest darkness, a single candle can still light your way”, and so it is the reason why the Sanctified remain vigilant in their service to this and all kindred communities. Under no illusion, that they are not a favourable topic or presence among the residents of this city, none the less their resolve will endure. They do not share doctrine publically, nor seek out individuals to save, but continue their work with patience and diligence, with an offer for those that any that may wish it.

  • Leanne Ackerson (West European, France, Italy, Spain)

Sister Ackerson, the shining light of gods army. The Daeva is strong with this one, exuding her loveliness on everyone, with hugs and affection. She represents the covenant, in the traditional faith.

  • Peter Tillson (Australian)

Like many Ventrue, Brother Tillson thinks his way would be better, and aches for a more forceful covenant direction, though he knows from experience, that it is a folly he is unlikely to survive twice, so knows that Sister leads with a better opportunity that he would be able to provide. Hi is a traditional faith.

  • John Sachem (Boston, USA)

John has been in the city the longest serving servant of the sanctified. John comes from a Jewish background, but has taken interest in all the varied aspects of the sanctified. He is the most scholarly of the residents, as you might expect from this Mekhet.

ORDO DRACUL

Away from the frantic nature of the capital, this refuge has provided opportunities for those of the order, to maintain focus for their work. Early habitation by member of the Order, have assisted in this being known as a successful place for contemplation and reflection, yielding results of self-enlightenment, and empowerment.

  • Dr William Jensen (Australian)

The discredited and former Doctor of Institutional therapy from the post war asylums for experimental treatments, has continued his quest since joining the Mekhet. There can be a cure, or a remedy for everything. Sometimes one must take things to a new level, to see if that is the elusive answer we seek. This is a Mad Doctor.

  • Carmella Mico (South America, Brazil)

Once a wonderful dancer, until one day of the dead carnivalle, she her requiem began, her face distorted with a offsetting symmetry, a condition, she desires to have corrected. This Nosferatu hides her shame with the others beneath the city, rarely seen.

UNALIGNED

A city always has unaligned kindred, just as it always has traffic issues, crime... and rats. It can be difficult to know if there are more or less, simply because they don’t follow basic social norms taken for granted by those that are part of a covenant.

  • Manuel Rosso. Ecuadorian immigrant,

Embraced Gangrel around 1979 and arrived in Toowoomba in the mid ‘90s. He was around the area as a seasonal worker, fruit picking and packing, and was embraced so was unable to get out of the country, so he stayed. He’s around the region, in many smaller communities, around seasonal workers. He feeds from them, shares stories of the world with them, but recluses quickly from authority, with apparent limited English.

  • Sebastian (Australian, English?)

Sebastian lives deep beneath the city, with the other Nosferatu, but it not often seen.
