Personal Information

Yr Ysgolhaig (pronunciation) is an old Welsh scholar of Kindred history. Such that this scholarly nature has become his name (Yr Ysgolhaig means The Scholar in Welsh/Cymru). What his original name was appears to be lost in the vastness of kindred history.

He is always willing to trade information on Kindred History (both the good parts and the bad) and will happy teach people.

Tattooed arms, goatee and a slightly overweight body. But still a strength and solidness to him

Intense and driven. He tends to take on all tasks with a completeness of effort.

Always interested in new knowledge especially about Kindred history, occult beliefs and Strix/Stirges.

Mortal World

Dyllan Wexler is a known scholar in Brisbane, his work has been read by a number of Occult individuals and educational luminaries. The owner of the Private members club, 'The Tattered Scroll', he is known amongst the occult scholars and followers. The Tatter Scroll is open to any that follow his rules, and closed to those that break them. Members enjoy access to his library of books and knowledge. The club has recently expanded to allow the renting of private studies to members for longer periods of time.

Information Known by Kindred Society

Ys Ysgolhaig is a knowledgeable individual, having been involved in kindred history for atleast 600 years, and willing to share this with anyone that is willing to invest the time, but he has no patience for time waster, if you ask his advice and then spurn it, you will not be given a second chance.

He appears to have a working relationship with most of the Kindred Covenents/ organisations. He even seems to be on working terms with 'The Parliament' of Brisbane.

The Tattered Scroll is recognized as an Elysium by the Kindred of the city.

1325 - 1340 Maedoc travels with his sire over a large section of Wales studying and Learning, both Church and Pagan history
1342 Maedoc and Sire move to Ireland to continue their studies
1342 - 1350 Visiting Monestaries and private libraries in Ireland
1351 - 1360 Maedoc leaves his sire and moves to Anglesey to further study old Celtic history
1361 - 1373 Maedoc moves to Caermarton, Gwynedd and further extends his studies

1376 - 1380 Ruthin Denbighshire (Sir Ddinbych)
1381 - 1409 Llandrindod, Powys
1410 Sire calls Maedoc for his assitance with an issue in Hwilfordd, Pembrokeshire
1410 - 1412 Maedoc, his sire and Kalith, an ally of his sire, track a Kindred that has been preying on allies of his sire. The track him down and destroy him. As they kill the hunted an Owl burst forth from his chest and attacks Maedoc's sire.
1413 - 1450 Maedoc moves to London and joins the court there. He spends time getting to know the Invictus and the Lancea et Sanctum. He decides that neither supports his Scholastic bent and leaves London, with no ill-will.
1450 - 1510 Maedoc returns to Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire (Sir Gaerfyrddin) and his historical studies
1510 - 1580 Maedoc travels Wales, learning old history and kindred history. He starts to study the Strix
1581 Maedoc's sire again reappears and asks Maedoc to accompany him to the continent tolook into a cult that is rumoured to exist there
1582 - 1610 Maedoc and his sire spend time with the young Ordo Dracul, which his sire eventually joins,though Maedoc chooses not to
1611 Maedoc returns to his home in Carmarthen
1612 Kalith contact Maedoc and asks for his assistance with a problem as his sire is unavailable. Maedoc agree's
1612 - 1615 Kalith and Maedoc hunt a suspected tradition breaker across Wales. Finally killing the criminal. Maedoc is seriously wounded
1616 Kalith escorts Maedoc home and Maedoc sinks into Torpor
1616 - 1702 Torpor
1702 Kalith raises Maedoc and they start tracking a suspected poissessed kindred through Wales, into England and down into Normandy. They trap the suspect, but Kalith is injured and Maedoc escorts him to his bolt hole in Germany
1703 Kalith returns to Wales to find a number of towns filled with sick and dying
1704 - 1705 After tracing the sickness Maedoc finds a Lancea Sanctum Kindred directing it and kills him
1706 - 1708 Maedoc spends the next 3 years tracking down all the infected and killing them. In remorse Maedoc forsakes his name instead taking the name yr Ysgolhaig (The Scholar in Welsh)

1709 - 1730 Yr Ysgolhaig returns to Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire (Sir Gaerfyrddin) and his historical studies
1731 - 1737 Yr Ysgolhaig makes a trip to visit his sire in the Ordo Dracul
1738 Kindred - Strix war in Romaina
1738 - 1745 Yr Ysgolhaig travels to Italy with Kalith and other kindred scholars to write up their knowledge of the war
1746 Yr Ysgolhaig returns home
1746 - 1781 The destruction of the Children's Crusade. Strix collaborating children vampires.
1782 - 1860 Yr Ysgolhaig travels throughout Wales, England, Ireland and Scotland. Learning about the court structures and power. He studies the old legends and hunts for Strix lore, gathers information about the destroyed Childrens Crusade. The formation of the Carthians and the Circle of the Crone attract his attention. He makes friends with a number of Carthians. The ongoing violence of the Circle of the Crone 'rebellion' attracts more and more attention.
1843 London, spending a number of evenings with Ljónynja Øringr recording her memories of the Children's Crusade so that they are not lost and the mistakes are not repeated.
1861 -1878 Joining the Circle of the Crone and a potential member Yr Ysgolhaig moves about the country meeting members. Assisting with his knowledge of different political structures in the cities he becomes trusted, though has not officially joined the Circle.
1868 At the request of one of his brood-mates Yr Ysgolhaig takes on a student, Katelyn Bridget Gallagher, taking her with him as he tours parts of Wales.
1869 Yr Ysgolhaig's assists, along with Gaspar Acosta Da Blanca and Katelyn the the Cirle's defeat of a Lancea et Sanctum member that is staging vicious assaults against the young Circe, in Galway, Ireland. The assault does not go to plan and a large part of Galway burns. the Crone assault leader and the Lancea Sanctum member both die in the assault.
1870 While taking Katelyn through parts of Wales we encounter a child kindred. I destroy it while Katelyn wants to look after and raise it. This causes and argument and she returns to her sire.
1880 Yr Ysgolhaig leaves the Crone, citing the propensity to violence and excess as against his personal beliefs, never fully swearing to the Circle, they let him go.
1881 - 1899 moves to London and Meets Ophelia Rohrbach, on suggestion of his Sire
1892 Meets Kage, who was serving as an ambassador to teh London court. Things did not proceed well. End result Kage was embarrassed in the London court and an ongoing rivalry created that persists to modern day with Yr Ysgolhaig and Kage disagreeing about, well almost everything.
1900 Yr Ysgolhaig decides to move to Brisbane, his reasons a never made public
1901 Move to Brisbane Australia
1902 - 1959 Yr Ysgolhaig settles into Brisbane society and makes a name for himself as a Scholar and information broker.
1959 Injured in the Stryx outbreak, Sister Rosetta Day tries to assist, and heal the wounds, but something in the Stryx wounds still causes him to sink into torpor.
1960 - 1965 Torpor
1965 Awake from Torpor. Nice simple Invictus city
1965 - 2008 Living in the City. Significant amount of travel to other Australian Cities (it is so easy now). Meeting other Elders and extending his contacts in the Occult world.
1995 The Tattered Scroll is opened
2002 The Tattered Scroll recognised as an Elysium
2009 Sire is killed. Yr Ysgolhaig returns to Europe to collect his library (the non-dragon parts)
2010 - 2017 Back in his hidden lair in Carmarthen studying his sires journals
2014 Receives a very fine letter from Onryō. This starts a continuing written friendship and exchange of ideas.
2017 The situation is Brisbane is reported to him and he packs up and returns to the city. Restoring his old identity
