Personal Information

Ysabel is quite recently escaped from the Hedge. She is "dealing" with her captivity by throwing herself into the things she formerly loved, while simultaneously learning all she can about her new nature and her captors.

Appearance

Mask: Ysabel is a young woman with long, slightly curly black hair and green eyes. Her skin is very pale, and she is simultaneously curvaceous and underweight - the slightly fragile appearance and demeanor of a formerly voluptuous woman who has lost too much weight too quickly.

She is physically striking, both because of her looks and because of the aura of vulnerability she exudes.

Mien: Ysabel's skin is almost translucent, with unusually visible veins, and has a slightly jaundiced tint around the cheekbones. Her eyes are enormous in her face and her lips an exaggerated shade of red, which could be described as bloody.

Her figure is exaggerated, an hourglass figure taken to extremes. She is profoundly thin, but still has impressive curves. Her limbs are slightly overlong and her fingernails have become clubbed and almost claw-like.

Mantle: Ysabel's Mantle takes the form of a crisp Autumn breeze, sending slight chills shivering across you as you speak with her.

Personality

Ysabel is proud, haughty and ambitious. She is an enormously talented singer, and she definitely knows it. As long as you aren't a rival or a threat to her, she will treat you like gold: generous, compassionate, and kind and determined. If you are a rival, however, she will use you for everything you can give her and then take what she wants and discard you.

She is driven by a profound sense of fear, though she masks it well.

Mortal World

Ysabel is working on re-establishing ties with the mortal world. She is the frontwoman for an alternative band called Dark Glory that has recently become quite popular.

Arcadia

Her Keeper was a Lord of the Wild Hunt, whose name she has since repressed due to the great fear it causes her. She refers to him only as Der Erlkönig.

Ysabel was taken to perform for him and provide music and entertainment for her Keeper and his guests. He was sadistic when he was dissatisfied with her performances, torturing her physically and using her as a dummy to keep his hounds fit for the hunt.

Escape

Ysabel will not speak of her escape. Words have power; songs have power; legends have power. Power is best conserved until it is needed.

2015

• Jan - Ysabel escapes from the Hedge and is soon found by Georgia. The Motley offers her sanctuary. Ysabel begins to learn about modern society.
• Feb - Ysabel begins to feel brave enough to venture away from the Motley and Freehold. She begins to look into performing again.
• Mar - Begins to work on forming a band. Travels to Brisbane and is trapped when the Wild Hunt is called. Narrowly avoids a mental breakdown from being confronted by her Durance.
• Apr -

Motley

Ysabel's motley found her hiding, dishevelled and desperate, in Queen's Park. They were the first friendly faces she saw; they are her anchor against her fear of the unknown.
