After a long day at the studio and a long night of Saturday drinks with co-workers in the city Jack missed the last service trains and buses. Having spent most of his money on drinks and giving his last $20 to a co-worker (who's child's babysitter had a family crises they needed attend to) to catch a cab home, Jack slowly walked home; unbeknowingly watched and followed by someone in the shadows. Mere streets from home Jack was jumped and knocked out by the shadowy figure.

The poor Jack awoke upon a stage, captive to an audience of beautiful and horrifying creatures of ice and snow where he was made to perform for years and decades on end; his appearance changed as he turned his heart to ice to better continue entertaining his new masters. He became less creative and more calculating and cold but in the deep recesses of his mind he knew only of two things: he had done a good deed that night long ago and his desire to roam free once again.

Jack keeps quiet most of the time and if he does talk it's always cocky, but once you get to know him you'll see him as one who is willing to help any member of the Freehold at any cost.
