Timeline

• 1801 - Born in Finland to Eino and Säde Lange.
• 1817 - Began attending small gatherings about women's roles within society and how they should strive to become equal with men.
• 1818 - Vilrec Langlifr began watching her family from the shadows, looking for one who could be worthy of a place amongst the Valdyr. Her brother Gunnar seemed like a possible candidate.
• 1819 - Engaged in secret to Eirikr Pyrysson, but he died in a tragic accident shortly before they could ask for their families blessings. This made Berengaria throw herself into the women's suffrage movement even further, eventually leading to the riot where she would unknowingly prove herself to Vilrec.
• 1820 - After watching her for six months, Vilrec realised that Berengaria would be a suitable addition to the family and she was Embraced on the Summer Equinox.
• 1821 - Vilrec and Berengaria travel to the Valdyr stronghold and he begins to teach her what it means to truly be Valdyr.
• 1831 - Stellan is murdered by Batavia in Germany and Vilrec is taken by House Volmark, put into torpor for what seems like forever.
• 1843 - Berengaria makes a promise to Godric Volmark that she will bring him her first childe if he promises to return Vilrec afterwards. The deal is made and she is given one hundred years to bring them a worthy childe or they would get to keep Vilrec.
• 1847 - She starts tracking down and mapping out the family tree. This takes a very, very long time and proves to be quite difficult for her most of the time.
• 1852 - She begins travelling the world, finding and watching over branches of the mortal family, keeping an ever vigilant eye out for one who would be worthy of the Embrace.

• 1895 - Aksel Embraces Alvyss Langrif to help Berengaria keep track of the mortal family lines.
• 1899 -
• 1901 - Berengaria and Aksel encounter and tussle with Father Merrick Volmark in the Netherlands.
• 1905 - Rasmus Armfelt, a naval captain of merit who had recently encountered Lothar Volmark's dreaded pirate ship and lived to tell the tale, is found and after observation Berengaria Embraces him. They spend the next two years together as she teaches him what it means to be a Valdyr and how to be a vampire, explaining to him the whole time that she must eventually give him up to the Volmark to uphold her oath to Godric.
• 1907 - Rasmus is taken to the Volmark and upon their arrival she is told that they will take their time in returning Vilrec. Godric then offers her a carriage to the border of Germany. When the sun rises, a group of retainer guards attempt to kill her but Berengaria manages (barely) to escape with her life by running and melding into the ground over and over until she reaches the forest and transforms into a raven so she can fly away and hide in a cave for the day.
• 1911 - Lothar sneaks into the settlement where the fortress of the Valdyr is located and dumps Vilrec's torpid body in the huge lake, leaving a letter to say that Vilrec had been returned and would be "around somewhere". Berengaria and Aksel begin the search for their sire.
• 1920 - The Pax of Fear and Fang is proposed and agreed upon after the devastation and heavy losses of World War I.
• 1928 - Berengaria travels to Australia to investigate a mortal line of the family and the possibility of the Valdyr moving there, only to discover it was a country the Volmark had already begun to settle. In secret she begins the hunt for a new childe.
• 1934 - Vilhelmiina is observed and Berengaria recognises her usefulness to the family as not only a potential spy but as someone who knows the country and can watch from the shadows.

• 1974 - After a game of cat-and-mouse he was caught by Berengaria Lange and forcibly embraced. He adapted to it soon afterwards.
• 2013 - Present Day.

History

Berengaria was born in 1800 to Eino and Säde Lange, the eldest daughter and second eldest of eight children, in the Grand Principality of Finland on a beautiful farm in .

Growing up on the farm, Berengaria grew up to be strong, independant and hard-working.

The relatively high level of autonomy in Finland was impressive for it's time, mostly from the 1700's when Finland was part of the Kingdom of Sweden and enjoyed a high level of suffrage in the Age of Liberty. As Berengaria grew up, she began to become involved in the suffrage movement to grant full suffrage back to the women of Finland. She gradually became more heavily involved and was to become known for her fearless nature and bravado, to the point that when she was involved in a protest that got violent it took three policemen to hold her down and handcuff her, an act which gained the attention of Vilrec Langlifr- the man who would change her life forever.

• No one is exactly sure why Berengaria allows Teresa Tarcare to call her Bragi, No one else is allowed to refer to her in such a manner.
