Timeline
- November 1990: Born
- March 2000: First discovered to be a sleepwalker by Dresden, brought into Cricket's 'family'.
- December 2005: Awakened, apprenticed under Cricket.
- April 2007: Joined the Mysterium, while preparing for her Year 12 finals.
- March 2008: Started Bachelor of Education at Griffith University. Becomes friends with Watchlight.
- Late 2008: Starts detaching from the Fallen World, and using Space to go on brief 'trips' to other places.
- May 2009: 'Juliet Bell' fails to show up to class. Search reveals nothing. Discovered to have used Space to go to India.
- December 2009: 'Juliet Bell' is declared missing, presumed dead, by authorities.
- 2009 - 2012: Constantly jaunting around the globe, and frequently out of touch. Visits most major world cities.
- March 2013: Shows up for Zaphkiel's funeral.
History
Even after her Awakening, Dornelia was little more than a university student to most of the Consilium, hoping to become a high school teacher in geography and biology. Before then, she was nothing more than a Sleepwalker living with Cricket and Alster. And, once she started studying at Griffith, it seemed like it'd be a comfortable way for the Shaman to finish her apprenticeship. She could study for a few years, then teach at Brisbane State High, and have a happy life while devoting herself to mastering the Mysteries of the Awakened.
But as her knowledge of the Awakened Realm grew, her interest in what she hadn't seen increased, as well. She started taking holidays, vanishing for weeks at a time, without word. Eventually, she was forced to make a choice between pursuing her traditional career in teaching, or being able to pursue the wonders of everything Awakened life had to offer. She chose the latter - and despite the loss of a normal life, she's savored every moment since then.
Currently
Dornelia spends some time in Brisbane. Well, compared to anywhere else, she spends most of her time in Brisbane. She's just as likely to excuse herself from a Mage meeting because she's attempting to sketch a waterfall she found in the jungles of Brazil, or be busy riding a horse across the Mongolian steppes. She does still love her city, however, and can usually be persuaded to help a problem facing it if need be, particularly after Zaphkiel's death. She's best able to offer help, however, when it comes to the spiritual condition of the city.
She's usually accompanied by her own Spirit, one that she picked up a few years ago, around about the time she started drifting away from the Fallen World - the Spirit of Exploration. They get along very well.
