Across the centuries, Berengaria has been many things- a shock of wild blonde hair and fiery eyes, a desperate childe looking for her sire, a servant of the Old Gods, a teller of stories, a free-spirited explorer, the Mother of House Valdyr, an upstanding member of Court and a representative for her Clan. To those who know her well she is fierce and soft at once, loving but exasperated, caring towards her family and a hard worker. To those who know of her, she is the face of House Valdyr in Brisbane and a long-time member of the Brisbane Court, strong and proud but quiet and observant. It is hard to tell if she knows what's going on completely or if she is very good at faking it, but it seems as though she currently has a hold on things within the complicated machinations of Brisbane's Court.

Berengaria is a pretty Scandanavian woman with long untamed blonde hair and intense blue eyes. Her style of dress seems to be comprised of black (usually leather) pants and white shirts with bare feet and a brown belt with many bits and pieces hanging off it. There is a sense of animal energy about her, a sense that she is holding down the Beast in a constant wrestling with herself that may distract her from things from time to time. All together though, people see her as the fierce mother wolf of her family and a faithful follower of the Norse Gods. While she has her disagreements with the Volmark, she works with them when she needs to for the best of the city and her family and will show them respect. Her nature seems to be independant, proud and caring.

OOC History

Berengaria was born in 1800 to Eino and Säde Lange, the eldest daughter and second eldest of eight children, in the Grand Principality of Finland on a beautiful farm in the woods of Ostrobothnia, near the Gulf of Bothnia and the city of Kristiinankaupunki (Kristinestad). Growing up on the farm, Berengaria grew up to be strong, independant and hard-working, full of stories of the Old Gods and ancestor-gods known as the Valdyr. The strong faith she has to these nights grew from those childhood tales.

The relatively high level of autonomy in Finland was impressive for it's time, mostly from the 1700's when Finland was part of the Kingdom of Sweden and enjoyed a high level of suffrage in the Age of Liberty. As Berengaria grew up, she began to become involved in the suffrage movement to grant full suffrage back to the women of Finland. She gradually became more heavily involved and was to become known for her fearless nature and bravado, to the point that when she was involved in a protest that got violent it took three policemen to hold her down and handcuff her, an act which gained the attention of Vilrec Langlifr- the man who would change her life forever.

Since her Embrace, Berengaria has been seen around Europe, parts of Asia and Australia, wandering the continents in search of family and tracking the mortal descendants of her sire, her own mortal family and the others who make up the Valdyr. She has been a huge player in the Valdyr vs. Volmark dispute, and was a large part of the writing up of the Pax of Fang and Fear. Few know all the stories that make up her involvement with the Volmark but it is certainly an interesting story and those who earn her trust may one day get to her the stories of her fight against the Leviathans.

• No one is exactly sure why Berengaria allows Teresa Tarcare to call her Bragi, No one else is allowed to refer to her in such a manner.
