Information Known by Kindred Society

Carol, as she is known to her friends, arrived in the Armidale region with a letter of recommendation from her sire. While the contents of that letter have never been revealed the usually taciturn prince allowed her to remain in the region, and the Bishop of the time quickly accepted her as part of the flock.

As junior member of the Lancea Sanctum, she displayed an early mastery of the Theban arts, much to the chagrin of certain elders who protested that her understanding was inconsistent with her accomplishments.

When an ugly rumour began to spread that Carol was an exotic dancer before her embrace, and that her sire only picked her based on her prowess in bed, Carol seemed to ignore it. Instead after a little negotiation she arranged to be the impromptu opening burlesque event for the Prince's next court.

In her short time in Armidale she seemed to make more enemies than friends, a factor born of political naivety rather than malice. Her apparent lack of etiquette and inability to act as protocol demands marked her early on as a scapegoat for some vampire's plot. This culminated in a blood hunt being called upon her 1997. A blood hunt that the Gangrel Priscus foiled by sheltering her then escorting her out of the territory personally. A stinging violation of the Prince's authority, remembered even today, as Prince Harold still refused to lift the hunt.

Quotes / Conjecture / Scandal

The trial and eventual blood-hunt of Carol Rossini was a long time coming. The wilful Gangrel used up her favour with the court quite rapidly after her arrival, an incident with a ghouled hound was talk of the court for a while, and there were a few too many occurrences of witnesses spotting a pale woman talking the possums out of trees and dancing in the parks amid a flocks of bats. Each time Carol was called to account for her actions she lost a bit of standing, had to burn a bit of influence, and these embarrassing moments were being reported almost as soon as they happened. If she wasn't being caught feeding in someone's territory she was being spotted seeping into the ground.

Her last act, the one that had her dragged before the Prince was a frenzied attack on a member of the court in good standing, worse still it was an attack caught on CCTV. The footage was attained, the incident concealed from mortal eyes, but when the Lancea Sanctum were asked to explain the behaviour of their errant member the Bishop responded "She has broken the Traditions in this, an act that breaks our rules as much as it does those of the Prince. Better she answer to the Praxis, for we will be less lenient."

A particularly attentive, or paranoid, kindred would have noticed a large number of favours traded in the hours preceding the 'trial' but it is less clear who was trading. Even the Harpy, with her still smoking phone, seemed stunned when the Prince stripped Carol of all standing, declared her blood hunted, and gave her a 10 minute head start. Known to be too young to shift her form fully, her destruction seemed assured.

Quotes By

"I came here because I was sent here, and I study because I was told to."

"All that brooding vampire act is so 80's, how about you come home with me and I see if I can put a little smile on that nasty Nos face?"

Quotes About

"Damn that girl's got stamina, she'd put a Deava to shame. Hard to believe she's with the God-Squad". - Court member after an evening with the feisty Gangrel

"Yeah, that's what happens when you piss off the Invictus, they get their good buddies in your own covenant to dirk you" - Overheard referring to the events of the 1997 Bloodhunt

"If I ever run into that sire of hers, we are going to have words, sharp, painful, words. Screw Lance propaganda, I know a blood bond when I see one, its the only explanation of why she'd be willing to stay with the frock and cross brigade when its so alien to her nature."

Conversations

"So much larger than life, so alive and vital, yet she stood with the Lance, parroted their words, walked their path. I saw her with her pets, kittens and puppies, that she gathered over the years, I saw her with children, and dancing in the clubs. I don't care what she said, she was no Lance, which maybe why she often seemed so sad behind all that physicality."

Rumors

  • It is said that the Invictus girls all hated her, no two people give the same reason why though.
  • The Italian beauty was far more ancient than she let on, which explains her magic, a Renaissance era embrace.
  • Carolina's allies were strangely absent when she was bought before the court, almost as if they had been 'persuaded' to not get involved.
  • The Elder Lance were cleaning house, eliminating an embarrassment without getting unsightly blood on their hands.
  • Harold is still pissed at the Gangrel Priscus for sheltering her once the Blood-Hunt was called.
