Sigil Banner of the Archons

Background

Founded: 2006

The Archons, more formally known as the Archons of the Golden Mandate, are a cabal focussed on law and order, in particular as embodied by the precepts of gold law.

Their crest (plain emblem) is a wreath.

Their sigil banner colors are the emblem (a wreath) in gold representing their spiritual mandate, upon a shield of dark blue and yellow, representing the vigilance of law and the ideal of order.

The cabal recognizes all of the five Great Rights of Crossing, Emeritus, Hospitality, Nemesis and Sanctuary, but with strict terms.

Sanctum

Sanctum of the Archons

Gotham Tower, at 50 Ann Street, is a well-known landmark in Brisbane. What is definitely not known to the public is that it is the recognized sanctum of the cabal known as the Archons.

Formerly the State Law Building, it was sold off for money to fund the building of brand new modern facilities for the various legal departments as part of the government’s urban renewal program – the program that has run out of money, leaving buildings half completed and the legal departments scattered across the city in various temporary locations.

The building is now a mix of commercial and residential, with the lower floors still home to various companies while the upper floors have been extensively renovated and converted into a number of apartments.

After going through several owners, at least significant parts of the top couple of floors now belong to the Archons – exactly how much they own is not known, as on paper they are still separate apartments belonging to different people and groups.

Mages who have visited will know that the main lifts only go to the 28th floor, and even they require a pass card or someone to authorise your access. From there you must follow the twisting corridors to the rear of the building where yet another security door must be buzzed to gain entry.

Inside leads to a small foyer, with a sweeping staircase to the main floor containing the Hierarch's office, and several meeting rooms, with other floor containing further working and living chambers. The suite is tastefully decorated, but on the minimalist side, and guests very much know that they are in a former government building that still retains the resonance of law and order.

The sanctum is known to hold a library of the Lex Magica and contain an active hallow, but is very well protected by security.
