The power upon the throne. The Prince has ruled the court without significant opposition since 1874, with this length of unchallenged reign it is no surprise that he considers the domain his own personal territory. In years past he has physically attended court only twice a year, perhaps it is simply hubris, but in over a hundred years there have been no serious threats to his praxis.

For almost 100 years the Prince was a devoted lay-member of the Sanctified church, attending each mass and obviously favouring the Sanctified to a level that made the Crones more than uncomfortable. As part of this tradition, those kindred rendered into torpor as punishment were delivered to the Bishop for safe keeping for the duration of their enforced slumber.

While some may grumble at the iron fisted approach they do so quietly, for the Prince is feared not just for his mercurial moods, but for his legendary near-omniscience. The only point at which the Prince is willing to compromise on his law is when it comes in direct conflict with the will of the Priscus, there has been a balance of power for over a hundred years and while no individual Priscus is a real threat, to threaten one is to threaten all, and they will respond to that threat. Not even the Prince is mad enough to challenge 5 powerful kindred that could possibly mobilise the entire court against him.
