-Jack is a harsh country man that a half decade of Embraced city life haven't softened. He is honest, resilient and hardy, like the land he used to work, and despite the curses his new 'condition' have given him, he still clings to the things that once made him human. Jack believes the kindred condition to be a curse, an affliction, though this belief hasn't endeared him to the Ordo Dracul, or any of the other covenants for that matter - strangely, he seems determined to remain Unaligned. Conflicted, Jack seems to battle with his Embrace - at constant war whether to remain a low and quiet Kindred, or to improve his vampiric might for survival - yet also to risk the Beast consuming him.

-Standing at a rough six foot, Jack is broad shouldered, broad handed, broad... Everything. He's stocky and powerful - and the years of Embraced city life have done little to change this - if he could change at all. Mediterranean in looks, he has a short, well kept beard and long, wavy-curled hair, both black as night. Sectoral Heterochromia dominates Jack's eyes with a clean split in each eye; the inner half of each iris a deep hazel, while the outer half is a notable leaf green.
-Never will you catch Jack without his suede duster, wide brimmed 'Territory' Akubra, or his distinct crimson and black-patterned bandanna, sometimes sported around his neck, or on his head. Otherwise, his attire is rather plain, and, as the rest of him is, 'country'. He often sticks to thick button up cotton shirts with rolled sleeves, a pair of plain stretch jeans, and a heavy pair of steel-toed boots. Sometimes he'll bother with a watch. If he shifts around too much, one can occasionally glimpse leather pouches and holsters he keeps on his belt - some look small enough to hold a phone or a multitool, some larger and more shapely - to hold larger and more dangerous items. Jack will often wear his akubra, and even his sunglasses, indoors, more out of old, Kine-past habit than disrespect.

-As dry and honest as the earth he once worked, Jack is a hard, but warm man. He clings desperately to all the things that made him human, and is constantly on guard in the Kindred world, whether it be for fear of having his head disconnected bloodily from his body, or for fear of being enticed further into their world - a world which he makes clear he cares naught for by refusing to align with any of the covenants.
-Jack is salt-of-the-earth, a surprising turn for a Kindred - and perhaps a dash disillusioned, though whether that is the weight of the Gangrel curse or simply his years skirting the edges of Kine society is beyond him. He can be downright rude, swearing like a sailor and showing seemingly little care for tradition and respect, but Jack is a man of earned respect - he will bow and acknowledge strength and means when it is proven, and similarly, he will deliver respect when it is earned. This can make him seem like the hard side of the worst-grit sandpaper imaginable, but given time, he has been known to warm up to even the most far-gone of Kindred.
-West has a penchant for slang, often referring to those who will allow it, and occasionally those who would not, by nicknames, and more often than not, he enjoys the nicknames given to the covenants, even occasionally coming up with a few of his own.
-Despite the Gangrel affliction, Jack is not immune to fear as some would be lead to believe. Events in recent months have proven that Jack is not unshakeable, but that it certainly is a drastic state to achieve in him indeed.

-The West family were respected station owners and farmers in their time, producing many a good crop, and doing fair and honest trade with the city of Adelaide, and other neighbouring towns. The Wests, both his parents and Jack himself were well thought of in the station community, and in the agricultural sector as well. In 2005, Jack West and his fiancée took over the family farm, continuing their high quality agricultural production. In 2007, it was reported that the West farmhouse was assaulted by two men.
-Alexa Remington, Jack's fiancée at the time, was murdered after an attempted robbery had gone wrong. Jack had returned too late to save his fiancée. In the ensuing fight between Jack and the assailants, the farmhouse caught fire - by the copious amount of blood found at the scene, Jack had clearly severely wounded the two attackers, yet no bodies or trails were found - the two men are at large, but presumed dead. Jack was found unwounded, but soaked in blood, shaken. After giving statements and legal proceedings, Jack was paid out insurance, and left to his own devices.
-After the attack, Jack practically disappeared from the agricultural world. He had been gone from Adelaide at large for several years, but still worked IT jobs here and there. Today, he is occasionally found clubbing at less than reputable establishments, or just having a quiet drink in the heart of Adelaide, but little else is seen of him.
-While still a respected figure in the agricultural sector, Jack's absence due to his losses that night are not forgotten, earning him naught but pity from his then-colleagues.

-Jack is a low strength Gangrel fresh into the scene of Kindred Society. He still very much clings to the ideals of the Kine, and generally despises the idea of the Kindred condition. In return for protection during a voluntary torpor, Jack worked for a few years as hired muscle for the Green Triangle Clan, in mid-north of Australia. Having delivered the annual Green Triangle Clan's tithe to the Prince, Jack has been released of direct service, a free agent now in the city of Adelaide. He has already made some notable ripples, including strengthening the local Gangrel clan, as well as adamantly remaining unaligned, despite mounting pressure to do so otherwise. He is in the process of acquiring a farm of his own again.
