Information Modernists who wish to create new forms of magic, the Free Council are a union of mages who have discovered ways of using magic that do not adhere to traditional Atlantean methods. They joined the Pentacle during the Industrial Revolution after their previous form (the Nameless) rejected an offer from the Seers of the Throne. The "Libertines", as members of the Free Council are called, possess a strong belief in democratic process and tend to display an anti-authoritarian streak.
