NAMING

Consideration should be made for other characters, so the full name (with title, first name and/or last name) should be used when available. Creating a page for a character called John Smith named 'John' may not be available or would restrict others, so 'John Smith' or 'Brother John' may be a better option.

IC VS OOC

One question that comes up a fair lot about character wikis is this: what information in there is known in-character by others, and what isn't?

By default, information on a character wiki is out-of-character info; your character is not privy to it.

However, the following information is available IC'ly:

  • Anything listed as "Information known by _______ society".
  • Anything listed as "Appearance".
  • Anything listed as "Rumours".

Beyond that, any information on the wiki must be learned via normal in-game means to be known: clan, tribe, status, lineage, titles, etc.

We trust all players to not use OOC information IC'ly.
