GAME INFORMATION
1: Genre
Changeling: the Lost

2: Setting:

Survival is not always about fighting for your life, it can be about trying to be as normal as possible. Which can be difficult for those who aren’t normal, such as the Lost. The survivors of a different place, changed by their time in Arcadia. They have to either take back what is theirs or go on without it.

3: Theme(s)
Paranoia: (5) It isn’t paranoia if there really is something after you. The threat of the Gentry is always there, along with many other threats to both your life and your sanity.

Mystery: (2) Mystery will be a fundamental part of the game, for those who care. It will always be lurking in the shadows, leaving you wonder if that is all there is to it.

Morality: (3) The Lost are required to be good if they wish to not completely lose themselves to the Wyrd. How one interprets good will go a long way towards that.

Consequences: (3) Fools will not be tolerated. While it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye, consequences are important and will affect all characters. Accidents can be treated and dealt with within the context of other player/character reactions and may or may not have consequence depending on role play, but deliberate acts will have consequences. It’s important that everyone be aiming in the same direction and unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for a problem character/player to disrupt the feel of the game and the enjoyment for others. He who rocks the boat, will end up getting wet. It’s also part of bringing the ‘realism’ into the game. Nothing happens, with no follow up, so players need to consider checking up on things they see or experience, because if they don’t, they should know someone or something else will.

4: Mood (Listed and described)
Solitude: Despite their strong unions and bonds, amongst the vast mystical world of the Hedge players will feel very small and alone.
Vulnerability: No matter how hard the players try to hide, fight, fortify or run, they will always be plagued with the sensation of being compromised or insecure.
Morbidity: Although things might seem fine on the surface, the truth is there is something truly disturbing and sinister with what’s happened underneath.
Distrust: While there are many things to interact with, not all of them will be helpful and even those that are, will take some convincing of your intentions.

5: Preferred character types, and restrictions (Examples of the exemplar)
Core Kiths, Seemings and Courts. Entitlements will be considered on a case to case basis.

6: Location of Venue history information (Histories should be in a separate document)
Available on the Wiki.

7: Transport In/Out Information (threats, methods etc)

There is a trod between Brisbane and Toowoomba, created over the years from the Lost of both Freeholds travelling to their neighbours. There will also be a high-speed train between the two cities, for those who prefer the real world. Toowoomba is also a crossroad between the Warrego and New England Highways.

EXTERNAL FACTORS INFORMATION

1: Experience Awards

Attendance – 1/hr (Max 3)
Downtime – 1 (on time), 1 (good story/downtime) (Max 2)
Costuming – 1
Circle of Love - 1

2: Custom Rules
Freehold Status is in effect in Toowoomba.

3: Downtime Handling Procedure
Downtime is due on the first Saturday of every month. This allows people the time to deal with their Requiem and Changeling downtimes, especially those who travel to Brisbane.
It needs to be emailed to the VST Lost – vst.lost@toowoomba.beyondthesunset.org.au
Downtime will be completed by the VST & DST as appropriate, and results made available by the following game.

4: Crossover limitations (Physical, merit-only, information, firewalled/none) and expectations. (NB: all crossover requires both Mid Approval and the approval of the appropriate VST)

Cross over will not be avoided, nor will it be encouraged. If crossover will enhance the story, then it will be allowed. That being said, the players (and characters depending) will be encouraged to deal with it in a non-violent manner.

NEW/INTERSTATE PLAYERS
1: Information for New Folks (new to Cam)
If you are new to the club, welcome. You will find that the majority of the players in the Lost venue, are playing and learning it for the first time, so it will be incredibly ‘new player’ friendly, as most are new to the world of Changelings.

2: Information for External Folks (from other Domains)
Those travelling with existing characters from other domains are welcome, however as Toowoomba as a domain is still very new to Changeling, will be asked to help the venue and those playing, encourage it to get established, and essentially play nice, and not come with intentions to destructive to the venue, or dominating. Those doing so may be asked to refrain, or in most serious of cases, they may be asked to remove themselves from the game.
Those that are interested in having fun, and interacting with mostly new characters, are more than welcomed, and may be asked by the VST to act in supportive capacity, sharing their knowledge or understanding with the other characters.

• Those wishing to play need to have their character sheets send by the VST/DST of their home domain, no later than the Thursday before game, to give the local VST an opportunity to review and have them printed.
• Due to our venue being new, the VST may ask you to refrain from using certain abilities.
• Visitors are to ensure they have descriptions and references for all powers not included in the core book or addenda.
