Personal Information

Appearance

Dressed starkly, but warmly, Ljónynja at once looks regal, wild, beautiful, and terrifying. She's not a traditionally beautiful woman, with her scars, unusual dress and wild features, but while one gets the sense of an uncomfortably close relationship with her beast, Ljónynja does not give off the sense of inhumanity. Rather, she seems to be a once-wild lion tamed by centuries in the Invictus, and by the travesties she's borne witness to. None of the tameness should be taken for weakness, she still looms as a figure of fear, but only to those who give her reason to unchain the animal beneath. A cloak covers her back and arms, but does not restrict movement. She is at once bound and free. She has a chain bracelet on her wrist, and a scarification of the Casa di Temperance's Coat of Arms on her back.
Ljónynja has a wild look behind her icy-white eyes, but while they feel so cold, there are times when warmth can be found there too. While not all subscribe to the theory, some suspect the reason for her unusual eye colour is that her eyes instead of her hair turned white when her brother died.

Personality

Calm, quick thinking, and slow speaking, Ljónynja is the very essence of an Gangrel Invictus elder. She is gentle with those who require it, harsh when called for, and prepared to help those willing to learn. She moves slowly, with the grace of ages, but with presence and purpose too.
She accepts that some may not wish to tell her what she wants to know, but loathes betrayal and those few who have betrayed her, or her family, have not lived long to tell of the tale.

Mortal World

There is no record of Ljónynja in the mortal world. What records there might have been disappeared a long time ago, and she operates through her retainers, vassals, and other allies.

Past Timeline

1189 Ylva Randúlfrsdottir is born several minutes after her brother Ári Randúlfrssen.
1207 Both Ári and Ylva are embraced by Ydva. Upon finding another by her name already stalks the night, she changes to Ljónynja.
1326 Falls to torpor with Ári by her side.
1376 Woken from torpor by Ári.
1400 In a betrayal her brother Ári is killed. Ylva and Ljónynja escape, forced to leave Ydva and Wodan behind.
1402 As Ljónynja is so unable to deal with her pain and rage, Ylva is forced to put her into Torpor.
1430 Wakes from Torpor.
1431 Still hurting from her brothers death, which she took hard, Ljónynja leaves her family's side and begins to journey alone.
1435 Brought into the Invictus, and to the Casa di Temperance by Signore di Tirruri. Within the year he begins to refer to her as Øringr, and it becomes somewhat of a nickname for her.
1479 Embraces her first childer, Rhys-.
1482 Put into Torpor for her safety.
1560 Wakes from Torpor.
1586 Embraces her second childer, Two-.
1600 Is present alongside Wodan at Skye- embrace. Her family begins to come back together and heal.
1720 Meets Gasper, the two become allies, and she watches him go from the person he was into a psychopath.
1842 Travelled to Britain, met Charles Brock, and begins grooming him for his embrace.
1859 Embraces her third childer, Charles Brock.
1890 Travels to what becomes Canberra for the first time.
1900 Takes part in, and helps create, the Unseen Pact.
1912 Becomes Serratura di a Casa di Temperance, fulfilling Margarita del Spada's last wish.
1958 Finds a fortune teller who she believes to be somewhat of an Oracle. Visits her many times.
1959 Ghouls the Oracle.
1962 An arrangement with Lirriana of the Circle of the Crone goes badly, Ljónynja gives Celene to her as a gift. She does not see Celene again.
1970 Ghouls a member of the Yakuza.
1983 Loans Ao- to Jezira Ubiti for assistance with travelling through Japan. She does not hear from either Jezira nor Ao- for two years. This is not unexpected, the journey was to be long and the ghoul well paid for.
1985 Discovers that Jezira has embraced Ao-. Jezira is killed as punishment. Ljónynja's once ghoul is taken under her wing, and brought almost immediately into the Invictus.
2007 Helps out Olivia with her Invictus training.
2008 Meets her grandchilder Dr Teeth.
2010 Goes into Torpor at her own request.
2017 Woken from torpor by Ao-.
