- 1889 - To pay off debts begins working with local crimal groups. Runs the books and helps the groups businesses look more legitimate
- 1890 - His work angers a rival gang and they mutilate his face and blind one of his eyes
- 1891 - Gets revenge on his attackers one by one until the full gang is called in to kill him. Lothar emerges and gives him the option of death or the embrace. He chooses the Embrace and slaughters the remnants of the gang. Changes name to Sebastian Volmark.
