Underworld Tour of the Brisbane Shadowlands
- Brisbane of the Shadowlands is an older, less developed city. What appears solid to a Wraith, fashioned of relic stone and metal, are the buildings of the Brisbane Town settlement in the curve of the river; the location roughly equal to the central business district of the Skinlands Brisbane. Overlapping these structures are the ephemeral buildings of the Quick that have taken the places of the original structures in the living world.
- One Underworld bridge spans the river; the original Victoria Bridge that was swept away in the flood of 1893. Transported mostly whole across the shroud, it has been maintained with relic wood, stone and metal as well as soul steel. Both ends of the bridge are guarded by a cohort of Legionnaires. During the quiet hours of the pre-dawn, ferry captains claim the creaking of wood and the soft-moaning of lost souls can be heard when one motors past the memorial to the lost bridge.
- On the south bank of the Underworld, are rows of warehouses and port facilities. It is to here that ships from Stygia and the train known as the Midnight Express load and unload their cargo.

Ancient Australia
- The Shadowlands remembers the continent covered in lush vegetation, water was in abundance and the centre of the continent harboured an inland sea. The undeveloped portions of Brisbane and the surrounding islands in the tempest are covered in ghost gums and tangle roots; plasmics which represent dreams, or nightmares, of creatures long disappeared from the continent are common in the turbulent straits between islands.
- It is only where the Necropolis of the Restless Dead exists are there paved roads and the foliage is cleared. Even amongst the building of the Quick, wraiths can see massive trees and ferns. Plasmics wander through the streets of the living city unseen to the mortals across the Shroud.
