The Freehold Pledge

Before the Winter Home Freehold and on the wyrd I swear my service to the freehold for a year and a day

I swear to give of my skills and knowledge to build and preserve the freehold

I swear to obey all the laws of the freehold and the orders of the reigning monarch

I swear to be honest and just in all my dealings with members of the freehold

I swear not to raise my hand against another sworn member of the Freehold unjustly and without reason.

I swear this pledge on the blades of dawn and dusk, and those they deem necessary

Should I be forsworn may the shelter and protection of the freehold be denied to me

May the blades of the Nemeses rend me limb from limb and may all members turn their backs on me until my sins are expiated be it through death or repentance.

The Commons

The Night Bazaar

The main square of the Night Bazaar is the official Commons of the Night Court: an open-air Turkish café with awnings, intricately carved octagonal tables, and a wide variety of food and drink available under an eternal night sky. Access to the Night Bazaar is through a doorway in the Manuka shops back alleys or through a pathway from the Goblin Queen's market.

Market Laws:

• The café square is a Winterhome Commons - no thieving, no snitching, no unsolicited salespersons
• All Winterhome courtiers get one free drink
• No violence outside of the fighting pits
• Anything may be sold
• Products will do as advertised
• Dealbreakers get legbreakers
• No refunds
• No misleading people trying to reach the Goblin Queen’s market
• There must always be music playing nearby
• On the Winter Solstice, all Doors must open
