Appearance

Drake attends court in a sleek black robe in the middle eastern style, while wearing a necklace bearing the Grimm Family Sigil. He has a scarred face but will not tell anyone bar his family how he came to get them

Personality

Drake prides himself on being impartial in most situations He is jovial to those he knows and cares first and foremost for his family and blood. He is known to most simply as the Broker and nothing else and acts as an information gatherer. In most cities he visits he inevitably either becomes the harpy or the sheriff because of his talents.

Origins

Drake was born in 1704 in Deerfield, Massachusetts on the 28th of Feburary to Charles and Renee Flitsworth, English Colonists that came to 'the new world' to make their fortune. Unfortunately fate was set against them from the beginning, as not a day later the Raid of Deerfield by French-Canadians and Native Americans began. By the end of the next day 50 English Colonists were killed, Drake's parents among them. Thankfully the Saloon owner took him in and raised him, employing him as a source of cheap labour in the Saloon.

During Drake's childhood he was enamored with firearms, he was always asked to take the pistols off the drunks playing poker and keep them behind the bar. Most of the time he would generally be found later, shooting at cans with one or two of the pistols of the passed out drunks inside. The Saloon owner pitied Drake and sent him to the local school house to learn 'his numbers' so that he could be relied on to do the books of the Saloon and maybe do the maths and mediation of a deal when called upon.

Throughout his time in Deerfield, Drake saved up enough money to start up a Saloon of his own and had plans to do so when the Saloon owner who had acted as his father figure and carer passed away, leaving the Saloon of his childhood to him. He ran the Saloon for many years, acting not only as councillor and purveyor of drinks and substances but also to female companionship and a gold for cash/credit broker. This business left him making more money than most of the businesses in the camp combined. One night Marius walked into his Saloon and started to talk to him. About all manner of things, from maths and philosophy, to gold claims and maintaining prostitutes.

At the end of the night, Drake offered Marius a bed upstairs with one of his ladies in the efforts of keeping this man of fine breeding in town hopefully for good. However during the night, Drake hears a whimpering scream come from the room he had given Marius, he busts in to find Marius on top of one of his girls, feeding on her neck. Drake pulls out his pistol and fires it into Marius' back. Marius turns with lightning fast speed and launches himself onto Drake, sinking his fangs deep into his neck. Drakes vision blurs as Marius drains away his life. At the moment when Drake is about to fall unconscious, Marius asks him, "You defend those that most would not defend, you speak without anger or fear and you can barter a nun out of her habit. I will save you from death if you do me service." Drake accepts and Marius embraces him. Drake and Marius travel the world for 80 years, learning of the kindred existence and expanding the families wealth and influence.

The largest expansion was during the late 1890's during the Klondike Gold Rush. Drake traveled there and set up the towns Saloon and Ladies of the night trade. Making more money as a mediator and broker than any miner.

In 1920, Marius decided to go into torpor rather than have his blood become so potent that he had to feed off his own family. As such he appointed his two surviving childer, Drake and Sakura to run the family until his return.

Timeline

1600 - 1900's

1604 - Marius meets Drake and embraces him

1815 - Netherlands Marius finds a dying girl Sakura on the street with one eye in tact he see's she is far from home, Japan he embraces/ saves her and teaches her the way of the western world they become lovers for a time.

1900 - Current

2014 - Drake and Sakura decide to move the family to Australia after reports from some of their childer living there about the state of the court and the country.

2014 - Using their vampiric contacts they find out that the territory for the Mekhet is Milton and get their retainers to organise a suitable haven.

2014: - Using the families expansive resources they buy a 10 story ex government building in Milton, changing the ground level into an upper class dance club and restaurant called "The Trees Hollow" and extensively renovating it to be sophisticated and modern.

March 2015 - The Grimm family presents itself to the Kindred of the Brisbane court

July 2015 - The Majority of the Grimm family withdraw from public life, working on their family's great works. They are still seen patrolling their territory.

August 2015 - Prince Roxanne Ephraxis gives the regency of Herston to Drake Grimm in payment for a personal service.

January 2016 - Prince Roxanne Ephraxis is so impressed with the work that Drake Grimm has done in the territory of Herston that she increases his status to Valued (4) in Brisbane City.

January 2016 - Prince Roxanne Ephraxis is so impressed with the work that Drake Grimm has done in Herston she appoints him the Keeper of the Rack. Because of this he is raised in status in the Invictus.
