Appearance

Mask: Essa tends towards the Punk-Goth look. She has short black hair that sports a colour streak in the fringe multiple earrings in one ear and a tattoo of a phoenix on her right wrist. She tends to wear mostly black preferring to remain um-remarkable where possible passing as a generic punk-goth girl.

Mien: Essa has the general anthropomorphic appearance she seems to be made up entirely of flames, her body holds the base yellow/orange her hair blends to a seamless blue, her eyes have a gentle blue hue.

Mantle: (Winter 2) She emits the cool chill as others but her unity with winter has given her orange flames a blue hue.

Personality

Having always been strong willed Essa can't help but rely primarily upon herself.She has made few friends and often lets her reputation do most the talking for her.

She's nomadic in nature and will wander through the hedge for weeks at a time on her own.

She cares little for the mortal world and only makes appearances when she needs too which is why the underground rave scene suits her needs just fine. nobody asks to many questions as long as the work gets done.

She's also spent a fair amount of time in goblin markets across the country and is well versed in various trade techniques.

Mortal World

Essa, is a technical engineer for the underground rave scene, she specializes in Pyrotechnics but often branches into Lighting where required. Seeming to just pop-up whenever and wherever there's a big Carnival, Festival or underground rave going on.

Arcadia

Keeper: The Maiden

At first Essa was treated well, doted upon like a favoured child but after a while The Maiden grew tired of giving her attentions and decided Essa would be better served using her maternal warmth in keeping her chambers heated. She didn’t mind the baths it meant that she was always clean and always warm, sometimes even to warm. But as the years passed by and she saw the constant new arrivals and others being traded she realized that maybe serving her mistress was not all it was cut out to be. Her ‘pets’ would at times fight among themselves for they jealously longed for The Maidens attentions. The Maiden required a servant to warm her bed of the evening as a result Essa was left alone to bathe in a tub of exotic perfumes left boiling over a large fire. Not wanting to upset her keeper she remained where she was until she was removed from the tub.

Often she would be forgotten about and the water would boil dry leaving Essa sitting on smouldering metal for hours. Eventually she would take up the properties of the heat that warmed her keeper so and no longer required the bath. She became the fire that kept the room warm and grew so hot that she was unable to be handled. Without any contact Essa grew distant and gave into her new form.

After a while The Maiden decided that Essa could also be used as a messenger and travel at the speed of light unable to be touched and intercepted. Essa was on an errand to deliver a message to the Maidens latest Beau but it took longer than anticipated. Her per-longed absence from her keepers thrall made her think about why she was really here. The sound of a baby crying in the distance caught her attention and after all these years something sparked in her memory. At first it was a trickle but then she recalled the smiling face of a newborn infant the soft fuzz of blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. She’d remembered Gerhard being born on her kitchen floor. This triggered her to find a way out anyway out. She grew mad at her captor but only for a second.

A second was all it took for Essa to team up with a passing Hunter-heart Hare and find her way out of the hedge into the real world once again.
