Personal Information

Gaspar is a Kindred of dual natures. He is Lordly and commanding when needed but in equal parts primal and savage. He is just at home amongst the kine as he is amongst the creatures of the forest and this shows. Gaspar has been a stalwart member of Clan Ventrue since his embrace and a stalwart member of the Circle of the Crone since it violently exploded onto the scene in the 1800's.

Appearance

Gaspar stands at just north of six feet tall, has long, straight black hair and is quite muscular. His eyes brown, almost black and his skin fair. He is obviously of Spanish descent. He is seen often to be covered in either Norse or Aztec style warpaint.

Personality

Gaspar is a little more open then his other elders. While largely oblivious to the modern world. He will still crack a joke, though often one no one else really gets. But he seems to enjoy himself. Other than that he is lordly and commanding, even when covered in blood and war paint, as he sometimes is.

Mortal World

There is a small town to the east of Toowoomba that is primarily made up of a doomsday cult that believes Ragnarok is coming and they must prepare. To these people, Gaspar is a descendent of the gods sent to guide them through Ragnarok. He has no other mortal affiliations

Timeline

1690 – Born in Cartagena, Spain to Louis and Henrietta Acosta Da Blanca. His father is a high-ranking military official in the Spanish Navy, throughout his childhood he is trained in ship life, weapons, tactics and etiquette.
1695 – Younger brother, Javier born. Gaspar reacts with jealousy and contempt, but as they get older the brothers become closer.
1701 – Henrietta dies of unknown causes. Gaspar runs away but is found by one of his father’s friends.
1708 – Gaspar is given command of a ship, many of the men are significantly older then him and do not trust or listen to him, a few months in, while out at sea, the crew try and overthrow him. During negotiations they are attacked and Gaspar helps get rid of the attackers and during which he kills his main competitor on the ship. After the battle, with their leader removed Gaspar reclaims proper command of his ship and the men never question him again.
1711 – During a battle, Gaspar convinces his men to flee and instead of heading back to base they have them keep running and with the promises of riches and freedom, the crew go pirate.
1712 – Gaspar and his Crew attack the a sizeable port and Gaspar kills the Lord of the Port in front of his wife, Ilsadora. Unknown to Gaspar, the Lord of the Port was a ghoul of a powerful kindred with in the area. Having bested a ghoul in combat and warfare and also, because the kindred is quite spiteful, he embraces Gaspar and ghouls Ilsadora and Ilsadora continues on as Lady of the Port. Gaspar quickly begins his education to become an Invictus and starts leading Night Raids with the crew, he also ghouls the first mate.
1713 – Gaspar undergoes his manumission and for his several conquests beforehand is immediately Knighted. Gaspar’s position as a pirate is of great use to the Invictus and he is quickly made the vassal of a very powerful lord and begins sailing back and forth between Spain and the Americas.
1715 – Gaspar forms alliances with the Carthians running Nassau, bonding over their mutual mortal arrangements.
1718-1735 – Gaspar is sent on various missions, each more monstrous then the last. As his Liege Lord becomes closer and closer to his beast, the missions he sends Gaspar on become more and more messed up. As Gaspar climbs the ranks of the Invictus, always returning victorious and always wondering why Isadora is still a ghoul, despite her succeeding at every goal that his sire set her. One day he returns to find that his sire has finally embraced her. His sire now seems to hold a distaste for Isadora though.
1735-1752 – Isadora and Gaspar become very close, practically inseparable. In 1740 Gaspar’s brother, Javier is kidnapped by some Lancea Sanctum as a punishment for Gaspar’s repeated crimes. Gaspar and Ilsadora manage to rescue him and take him back to the family stronghold. Where, as further spite, their sire embraces Javier. Javier stays unaligned despite the wishes of their sire, after several fights with their sire, Javier flees to northern Europe. Gaspar becomes closer to his beast, both in the potency of his blood and through his humanity slipping, as a celebration of this, his sire begins to teach him of the family history and bloodline, the Rotgrafen. Gaspar adds study of the Norse Mythology to his night-to-night routine and his sire eventually avuses him into the Rotgrafen bloodline. Ilsadora becomes afraid for Gaspar’s wellbeing, noticing his slipping humanity and late one night, stakes him and flees to north Europe to reunite with Javier.
1798 - Gaspar wakes up from torpor. During Torpor Gaspar suffered debilitating nightmares of his ancestors, Ragnarok and a hooded female figure who was fighting and granting power to his ancestors in the final battle. Upon waking he is granted to the news of the French Revolution and the overthrowing of the majority of the Invictus in France and the violent birth of the Carthian Movement and the fact that Ilsadora is a member. He tells his siblings about his nightmares and how they all relate to the Rotgrafen bloodline and their heritage. He takes to worshipping the Norse Gods and his ancestors and Javier takes a great interest in them as well, developing some sort of blood sorcery through his connection.
1800’s - Word reaches northern Europe of several Lancea Sanctum cities being burnt and razed by Pagans. The family goes to investigate and stumbles into the middle of the birth of the Circle of the Crone throughout Scotland and Ireland. They help burn churches and Lancea Sanctum havens and revel in throwing off the chains of the oppressive first and second estate. After the violent birth of the Circle of the Crone the siblings sail to America to spread the word of the Circle and Carthians and liberating the countries kindred. It’s during this time that Gaspar reconnects with his friends in the Carribean and gets back into pirating. The family stick around for the American Civil War and after helping win the South, they leave and head to Africa with some of the allies they have made to help, once more, spread the word of the Circle and the Carthians. Gaspar falls into torpor in 1870 after committing several monstrous acts during the war.
1905 - Gaspar awakens and the family head to Europe once more.
1914 - WW1 breaks out and the family prepare to fight another war. Once seeing what war has become in this new century the family flee, heading further east then they had before and heading to Australia. They head to Brisbane and spend some time there before Ilsadora and Gaspar move to Toowoomba.
1950 - Gaspar is torpored by Ilsadoara and left to recover his sanity.
1972 - Gaspar wakes from torpor and within a few years, Ilsadora steps down from leadership of Toowoomba and Gaspar takes the role of Captain within the city, moulding the court structure to what it is today.

2016

AUG - Gaspar calls for the court to gather in a clearing in Redwood Park where he speaks on the gods and then performs a ritual for the equinox.
