Horvat’s Mansion

The grounds are monitored by Peter's ghoul through motion-activated cameras that cover all the grounds. They synchronously monitor in heat-sensitive vision as well as infrared. The walls of the estate are reinforced concrete with bars throughout the brickwork. Graphene windows are controlled from the security centre in the ghouls room, with electric charges making it possible to blackout the windows completely. A hidden second exit is available from the grounds through the rear of the property if you know where to look – the perimeter fencing isn’t fortified at this point.

Lvl1-Street

Intricate wrought iron fences surround the lush gardens and large Victorian-style mansion estate of Alder Duke Peter Horvat. For tonight the large double iron gates have been unlocked and the gravel driveway is accessible, leading you up a 500 metre drive through manicured lawns and rose gardens. Bushes have been pruned in the shape of a man's silhouette.

Lvl1-Parking

The parking area as the first person arrives houses a sleek black Mercedes in the otherwise large and vacant parking lot.

Lvl1-Entrance

The parking area leads to the mansion entrance through a short, absolutely straight pathway with manicured roses to the sides. Two mirror image naked Roman-style statues of men in powerful flexing positions stand either side of the impressive open double doors.

The polished and scuff-free black and white marble tiling on the floor reflects the light from the multiple crystal and gold chandeliers above. Old oil paintings on the white walls circle the room with images of a man (Peter Horvat) in positions of power, standing above a mound of bodies, sitting next to a table and fruit bowl with a quill and scroll. Closer to the back of the room is one painting of him in a Napoleonesque French admiral outfit.

There are two doors from here in a similar large, grandiose fashion as the entrance. They lead to the left and right off the large foyer space, and straight in front of the entrance is a large wooden staircase that heads to the second floor. To the side of the staircase is a single, normal sized door with a stand with old-fashioned circular dialing land line telephone sitting in front of it.

Lvl1-Library

The library is a large room with a mahogany table and plush seating, walls lined with old texts sitting on equally old wooden shelving. Plush deep purple carpets whisper as you step throughout the space.

Lvl1-Dining room

Marble floors and chandeliers continue to glisten and in the middle of the room is a large, polished table with roughly 20 chairs sitting around it. At the edges of the room are more busts of the Alder Duke with different hairstyles throughout the ages.

Lvl1-Kitchen

The kitchen is full of old equipment, good quality when it was originally bought but lacking the same degree of fancy decoration as the rest of the house. Connected between the servants quarters and dining room.

Lvl1-Servants_quarters

Within the servants quarters behind the stairs, the rooms are in ruin. Shattered wood, scarred walls, shattered porcelain and torn furnishings from furniture litter the room under the low-light provided by cheap, grimy light bulbs. While the bedrooms still show that once there were around eight living in these rooms, this area hasn’t been used as anything more than a space to release fury and dust bunny farming for a long time.

Lvl2-Corridor

On the second floor you step up to a corridor going in two directions in a T-shape from the stairway. Plush purple carpet and yet *more* pictures of Horvat line the corridor between rooms decorate the space, with the .

Lavish and extravagant, only the finest of silks line his bed and wood make his furniture. The wall-size mirror makes the already huge sleeping space seem only larger and more immaculate under the miniature chandelier light. His wardrobe only holds the finest of old fashioned suits and even older Court garments, French pantaloons and ruffs, European cloaks and safari suits. An old flintlock musket sits in a locked glass case to the side with a small, gold plaque.

Modest despite its gold fixtures and purple carpet that matches the house. Simple bedding, a roller desk and a wardrobe sit around the room, as well as a multi-screen computer setup that receives feeds from throughout the grounds. This is the managed control centre of the house security systems.

Lvl2-Bathroom

Marble floors and benches gleam. It's a bathroom.
