By the Hand of Time
The wraiths of this Legion are those that died of, or during, Old Age.

Membership in the Iron Legion

Those aged people who die quietly in their sleep, as the saying goes dying of old age, are the easy marks for this Legion. Where it gets complicated is the clause dying during Old Age. Accidents, Violence, Disease that occur in old Age still send the experienced mortal soul into the hands of the Ashen Lady. She also lays claim to those who quickly burn through their allotment of life given at birth, those who die of alcohol-related liver failure or long-term diseases such as emphysema. These last two are bitterly contested with the Skeletal Lord. In centuries passed, burning out their life-spark applied to peasantry dying of long hours in the field, wearing out their bodies in hard labour well before their time.

Current policy of the Ashen Lady is any wraith who died after age 60 is deemed to be of the Iron Legion.
