Laura Jakande, a newly graduated anthropologist student from London, decided to sail to the Greek islands to celebrate her achievements at university. During a mass freak storm, she get embraced after her close encounter with death by her Sire Wallace MacDougall (before disguised as a pelican, injured from the storm). Now, she travels around to world on her boat with her ghoul while freelancing as a travel/anthropologist writer for magazines.
