Mathias's appearance is standard for a Mechanicus for the most part; as many parts replaced by metal as possible. He is heavily covered in religious paraphernalia though, and he is as clean as he can make himself. This requires much work to manage the grease and machine oil.

++ Personality ++

Polite to a fault, and unusually religious for a Mechanicus. He uses the terms Emperor and Omnissiah interchangeably, and has been known to throw in 'creator' as well. That's not even considering his views on psykers, which could be called dangerously optimistic.

Headstrong and willful, Mathias puts his all into whatever task lies before him. He's been known to be slow to react to new information though.

Mathias is a notable Explorator (a seeker of Archeotech) for the Mechanicus. A wanderer by nature, he can be found near about anywhere, from high society to the dregs of the underhive, though only for a short time on all accounts.

++ History ++

Over a century old, Mathias has served the Mechanicus for a large portion of that. Though born to a noble house, he didn't take to politics, not then anyway. Looking for a way out, he was in the process of joining the Ecclesiarchy when chance exposed his natural talents to the Mechanicus, and they collected him through their own means. It has, so far, been quite rewarding for them, and Mathias has a distinguished record of service.
